I used to create even monologues, when I imagined that another person (a speaker of my target language) was accompanying me, and I commented and explained everything around me, as well as my plans for the afternoon, etc. At that time, I didn't intend it as language practice, but I really wanted to meet that person, but it turned out to be very useful for my language practice.
About being sure if the sentence is correct - no need to translate from different languages, you could also talk to native people (apps like Hellotalk, Grindr, Tindr, etc.), they will tell you if your sentence is correct and you will be creating a link with someone in that country.
I'm a brazilian learner of english and I believe that the better way of learning another language without talking to others peoples is through writing and reading. Writing is the better way of doing that. We can realise how the language works and its structure. I've been a friend who lives in USA and he's been helping me to improve my speaking only using messages on WhatsApp.
Hi there. According to the comprehensible input theory (which I believe and follow..) the essencial activities to learn a language are listening and reading. This way you develop a passive vocabulary that you can eventually move into active vocabs later on through speaking and writing (these activities carrying a second plan in language learning). I’m glad it’s working for you with writing meu parceiro! Cada um tem um método né.. valeu irmão! Boa sorte com teus estudos! 👏🏻🙏🏻🇧🇷
@@user-xi7sq2nn9q you are right it is just a hypothesis. But I’m not sure most researchers are against... at least that’s well regarded in the polyglot community
