this episode was literally insane and i cannot describe how it made me feel- The whole episode- EVERY single frame of it was made to utter perfection. That split second when tanjiro was glad they had beheaded daki, everything changed, Uzui couldnt be seen or found- his arm slaughtered and a wave of relief turned into a horrifying realisation that it would be single handedly most likely impossible to win, gyutaro being in what looks like an upgraded perfectly untouched demon with no form of wounds. Episode 9 was such a hitter tho- i loved it

Some people say Uzui is weak because he's losing against the 6th upper rank demon, but people forget that he has been poisoned and Gyutaro is very powerful to be the 6th upper rank moon. He has that rank because of his weak sister.
Honestly if not for the poison, this fight would have been a whole lot easier. dudes literally purple with poison and fatigued and has hazy eyes and still throwing hands with Gyutaro. He was also basically teleporting by breaking the sound barrier earlier and now he's not doing that, just goes to show you how much of a debuff the poison did to him. honestly its the same with Tanjiro considering he's a bit more used to his power in a short time, if he wasn't so injured, Daki might have gotten her head cut off sooner since he'd be able to simply Sun style.
He let himself to be poisoned, that's why he is weak compared with other hashiras. Just look at the last arc, if you rank hashira based on the last arc, assuming Tengen is there, where would you place him in the ranking order ?

Even without the poison he'd be struggling here tho, when he hadn't yet been poisoned he still couldn't avoid gyutaro with acces to his full speed Gyutaro and tengen perfectly counter each other but the power imbalance between humans and upper rank demons is almost impossible to close and so, especially with the poison, tengen was doomed the second tanjiro stopped playing defence for him The gap between lower 1 and upper 6 is insane especially when you consider daki is what was holding gyutaro back from a higher rank. On his own he could potentially be upper 4. Tengen could never have won this alone but he's probably the only hashira that even had a chance to due to his specific skill set Basically, don't underestimate either of these characters. Both are being held back right now Gyutaro by daki and tengen by poison
This episode gives me the feeling similar to the end of the Infinity war. Thought we won but didn't and the pain of waiting for the sequeal/next episode have my heart dying 🥲.

yes pretty much, because akaza is way stronger than daki and gyutaro combined. the three of them also is not this strong at the mugen train arc, tanjiro did'nt know how to use the hinokami that much in the mugen train arc.
It’s cool they decided to add new flashbacks and scenes that weren’t in the manga. It’s annoying that it’s just 60 percent talking and 40 percent fighting tho.
I'm an anime only watcher, my theory is Nezuko will pull out another new Blood Demon Art but i doubt this theory myself cause she is probably as exhausted as Tanjiro. I'm excited to see what they do to comeback, if they comeback.
