I am so very proud of you and how organised you are through the chaos. I am a uni student (with Swinburne too) and didn’t have time to make masks although I know I could have got lots of business!! I said this on a more recent video but you should buy an industrial machine! I bought a Juki secondhand and it cuts the threads automatically. It only cost me $1k. Will save you heaps of time and wastage :-) (I bought it from a place in Clayton or noble park or something)
Hello taylah, omg i guess ive watch more than half of all your vids, its so addicting. You're an inspiration to many. Im from the other part of the world anyway😄 and had the chance to watch you live in your Q&A, and you did answer my question regarding fabric for srunchies. Thank you for that. Keep on uploading vids. I want to suggest more vlogs in the market especially when your patron shoppers buying your stuff, even in timelapse is fine for privacy consideration. Keep safe💚❤💚
Watching this video for closure - that was such a traumatic time for me. I fulfilled over 1000 orders too. And people were messaging and so desperate for them here in the u.s. Such a crazy time. It work me forever because I washed all the fabrics beforehand which was insane because of all the ironing I had to do too - ugh!!!
How much are your face masks and button headband . Do you do them ? I don’t have the greatest vision but I love listening and learning . Crafts are my passion .!
I recently start watching your videos and you inspired me aloootttt ❤️❤️❤️ that I am thinking of starting this short business because I love scrunchies and I love to make it soo I love you 😘💕 great thumbs up 👍 to you
For your mask what category of 100% cotton do you use. I’m not sure if it’s the same in Australia, but in the U.S. distinguishing categories are quilting, symphony, and classic. I heard quilting is the best because of the high thread count but I’m unsure if two layer of that plus a decorative front layer would be too hard to breath in.
I think it’s a bit different in Australia (I haven’t heard of those besides quilting) but I use quilting, broadcloth, cotton Prima, poplin and cotton lawn :) Mine are quite easy to breathe in still even with 3 layers plus a filter. I’ve heard they are most effective if you can blow a candle out with it on or if you hold the layers up to light and can’t see through them
How do you decide which orders goes in different packages?. Deciding how much shipping for each kind of package must be. Confusing. Or do you charge customer a flat rate
:) I made 275 in 4 days. :) not that this is a competition but I did it straight only stopping to rest or sleep or eat. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
I would say I can totally relate with you when it comes to not able to work in a messy place! I’m new to your channel and I love your vlogs :D

You can try placing the elastic in before you fold the side and sew. This will save alot of time (if you are not doing it that way already :) )
Thank you! That’s a great idea

I see that you sewed the seams differently from what I’ve seen most masks are sewn. I’m curious how it looks or fits on the when worn.

Hey is there any good fabric shops that you buy form in Melbourne
What’s the music u use for the background?? 😍
You said you wash all your masks after you make them?
I wash the mask material prior to making them but recommend customers wash their own masks prior to wearing them ☺️
What did you put in the middle layer
i just use 3 layers of cotton but they have a pocket to put in a filter :)
Please make one vide on this mask 😻😻
What model is the sewing machine that you are using?
I use the singer heavy duty 4423 and Elna 550 ☺️
