Yo Brad, this video to took me back to '19 when I lost my Grandma who was was literally a 2nd Mother to both me and my cousins and unfortunately losing someone who ment that much to you (and still truly does like I'm tearing up about it now just typing about it) isn't really something one ever REALLY gets over. But I have to give you props my man, I'm turning 24 this summer and believe me when I say you have SO much more figured out than I do right now it's mind boggling we're actually this close in age. I know you did this video to keep the us informed on your situation and let us into the mind and personal life of LakerFan but this video, for me personally, is so much more than that. I don't know, like hearing about your situation and you being able to quite literally tell it to the tens of thousands of people here and still admit you have a long way to go still in your journey just as a person, again I don't know but as someone only a year or so yoinger than yourself I feel as your focus and understanding of certaim things, or just being able to open up and ask for help on the personal things you don't understand I just feel like that's what I want and have been missing for a long time now. Long story short I guess if you make to the bottom of my thought bubble here; while you're looking to some of us for advice in your own situation I'm sure there are plenty out there like myself that will take this video or just you, yourself as a person, and use it as their own form of motivation to not just get themselves (myself) back on track in whatever they (I) wish to do in life. Whether be career or personal. I guess I'll end with saying Thanks. While it might not feel like it or was intended to do so, some of us might have need to watch this video, just as much as you needed to make it. Stay balanced Brad. As far as the relationship stuff goes brother, don't change who you are to fit the 'game'. Speaking as a newly married 28 yr old who did not enjoy the dating world at all, eventually you come across someone who wants exactly what you've got. Build a life that is interesting, full of friendships and meaningful pursuits that leaves you organically busy…THEN add a romantic interest to it. When you build that full life you won’t hyper-focus on the one newest thing and you’ll be able to approach new experiences from a stable foundation.

I met my wife 5 years ago and was going through the same feelings as you when you talk about needing to “play a game” when trying to find someone to date. The biggest thing I learned is that it doesn’t hurt to wait a little before texting back when you’re first getting to know somebody. Don’t shower them with emotions too early over text (even if it feels natural). Also don’t forget girls have jobs / friends / families too and have to divide their attention accordingly. However once you go on a few dates and really start to hit it off, then I think you should 100% be able to be yourself. Just don’t overdo it at the start.

Yeah ur rite. It takes 30 secs to send a text to someone. I just met someone and they bailed like 3 times cuz of their own worry if I didnt like them. She then wanted me to take a relationship quiz. I usaully meet women constantly because of the internet and im older then you to the fact once the internet came around the social circle of meeting people increased so much that they become more picky and no offense I won't date a girl in their early 20's because theyre horrible now. Dating has changed to where it sux the last 10yrs. My aunt is like my 2nd mom also and is 58 and has like 6 auto immune diseases so she could pass anyday. I talk to her everyday now but life does suck that way.
Don't try too hard in thinking that youre being "too much" into things. Being that way can make you succeed more then anything.

Meaning text as fast as you want, plan dates as often as often as you want but if she is not reciprocating at the rate you would like put her on the back burner and let her do the approaching all the while you can pursue someone else who does reciprocate to your straightforward mindset to dating. 27 and I have 3 year relationship. Continue being yourself and only give to attention to those who appreciate it.

A lot of mine is not the anger of losing my aunt, it’s the anger of feeling like the world did her wrong, and that she lost what was her’s. But life is a mystery. 32:30 I hate to double comment, but on this bit I do want to add some advice to an issue I also struggle with myself.
I’m a year younger than you but what I realize listening is that you tend to beat yourself up a lot when the situation in your head and reality doesn’t line up. So you start to go down the dark rabbit hole that it’s all your fault why you’re not feeling happy or at peace.
Regardless if it’s with girls, career, fitness, family you name it. The truth is, 90% of life we have 0 control of, and the way how people see us is more so how they see themselves than you per se.
The cure to perfectionism is the acceptance of failure. If you haven’t listened already, I’d listen to MJ’s perspective on failures because it helped me out a ton

Hey Brad, first off my condolences go out to you and your family, I can’t imagine how hard life’s been for you losing someone you loved. Secondly, it’s crazy how similar we are when it comes to relationships and being empathetic people down to almost being borderline obsessive and prioritizing them. I just want to say, never stop being yourself and love yourself as cheesy as that sounds. I’ve gone through my hoe phase in college but at the end of the day, it’s not me and being aware of who you are and what you value is extremely important. Before my girlfriend, I used to think that I needed to change myself or my communication but it isn’t you, it’s them. The right person will come along that loves you for you and will appreciate that about you. Your partner should always try to match your energy and effort. If they don’t, they aren’t the one. Condolences. My mother lost her last sister in a similar fashion several years ago, except there was a terrible coma that lingered a couple years. Lost my mother a couple years ago to cancer. I guess at some point life stops giving you things and starts taking them back. It's hard but it is life like you said. Positive energy to you and yours.
