- Patagonia may be known for its alpine routes, but the granite blocs scattered around El Chaltén and Torres del Paine National Park have caught the eye of many intrepid climbers. For BD Athlete Nalle Hukkataival, the allure of the boulders was enticing enough to dedicate a trip to Patagonia to sample and explore the blocs below the walls.

The amount of dedication and effort Nalle puts into developing climbing is stagering. Truly inspiring

Call me crazy but I've always wanted to go bouldering in Himalayas. Not to climb Mount Everest, Lhotse etc., but to go bouldering near them. Imagine doing that 4000-5000 meters above the sea. Glad that Nalle explores Patagonia this way. It's amazing.
Not crazy at all. I’ve bouldered at base camp at 5000m in the Himalayas on rest days. Same thing but with bigger headaches and no crash pads! Good for Nalle also getting on the big wall climbs!
so much potential in the Himalayas... :

its so cool be rich for a climber.. what a lifestyle
Anyone knows that last song?
It is not on the music list from that video
Great vid! Anybody have a good source of online info or guidebook that describes the bouldering in El Chalten? I've seen a few videos that say it's well developed but I haven't been able to find anything too useful. Would be good to see what the easier boulders are like for those who can't climb V-double digits. :)
you can find many easy boulders around El Chalten ;) No need of guidebook because it only exist at the local climbing gym as far as I know. If you love climb you'll go crazy in El Chalten
@@crismoreno4059 Good to know, thanks for the info!
This is just the classics there are tons of boulders here, and so many more to develop
@@joandomenech6708 Awesome, thanks!
Sick video, but the last thing TdP needs is hundreds of people lugging pads in there every year
This guy is ok but he’s no Alex Honnold
Climbed first: V16 highball, V17 boulder + multiple V16 boulders
boulderers: weather is so hard to climb in. Big wall climbers: YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW
People who constantly complain about temps and conditions drive me NUTS! I had some meaningful sends at my limit grade in near 30 degree(celsius) weather with 100% humidity.
@@sploo13 For me, it was greasy limestone.
Nalle is incredible to watch climb, but I also love his narration. Topping that off with some beautiful cinematography made this a treat. Thanks!
Chilling with nalle is even better.
Beautiful! Man, I miss this place..
Awwwhh man, weather was a bust
Is that last song at the end Colision by Felipe Silvestre?
Shazam, say yes
Patagonia, notoriously known for tough weather, ... wait for it... has tough weather! You get why bigwall climbers go there, but why would anybody go there bouldering unless he wanted to bigwall and all he can get is bouldering around the city.
