If you are having an issue with the sizes of sand/rocks in geek gaming base readys, i would recommend running them through a sieve. I mostly use "Fields of new zealand" for my middle earth bases, and i have it sieved into 2 containers, one for 25mm bases and the bigger one for adding a bit more extra detail and variety to larger bases and terrain. Sieving them out only takes a few minutes, though dont use the Kitchen sieve or the Missos going to clop ya!
The intro was better than anything I saw coming from Amazon's LOTR themed entertainment. Working a pants shatting in as well later on. A great result on the project. Well done!
You understand that, that is the aptitude test for entry into the army. If you get the hoodie the right way around it means you can see to defend yourself. If you don't you wind up in the front rank because you can't be scared of what you can't see.
I remember hearing about LoTR having some 10mm stuff a little while back but I ignored it for my own sanity. This reminder is now making my wallet put thoughts into my head of "Just do it!"
Awesome army! Just watched the Wizard Brush Gondor and both collections are great. As I said on his channel. I was looking at Wakes ‘not’ LotR a couple of weeks ago and thinking of doing Kings of War a LotR armies on their 28mm base footprints….lots of minis lol. But I do Locke a challenge. Would love to see more
@wc9109 cheers dude. I have another 10mm video from 2ish years ago and also a 10mm bat rep if you are looking for more :) That idea sounds epic man I'd love to see results if you every finish it 😀
Great video and great army, i really love these minis. i was recently looking for smaller-scale troops and you have shown them to me, so thanks very much.
Awesome video ! Due to your other video on Gondor vs Harad battle report, I started a 10mm middle earth project… I do not thank you ! Keep up your good job, it is great and hope you will do more 10mm middle earth Battle report.
Haha I do not apologize xD. What armies are you going to do? Yes will do some more reps in future, wizards brush and I will need to have a face off at somepoint
I have started several armies: Gondor, Harad, Rohan, Elves and Mordor. But the whole project is to have all armies to be able to make a big campaign with friends! I will follow your future vids with Wizards Brush !
For the rules, i use War of the Ring from Games Workshop (old rulebook for Mesbg battle army) and its revised and streamlined version made by a US blogger (Jay’s Wargaming Madness - jayswargamingmadness.blogspot.com/2023/06/war-of-ring-revised-rules-and-army-lists.html?m=1), i have just changed the basing and some stats in its army list to fit to the 10mm ; and for the campaign i will use a campaign rule design by a French bloggeur many years ago, using a middle earth hex map for the move of the armies and then play the battles on table top. I have started this project since 5/6 months and the whole project will take at least one year but at the end i hope that it will great. Your vid on the Gonfor vs Harad battle report helped me to conclude that this project could be done and helped me to start the project; and your new vid with Wizards brush help me to keep moving on my own project. Many thanks for that!
For the battles ruleset i use War of the Ring from GW and its revised and streamlined version made by an American blogger: Jay’s Wargaming madness and i adapted it for the 10mm. And for the campaign i will use rules made by a French blogger many years ago with mouvement of the armies on a middle earth hexes map and doing battle on tabletop. i worked at GW for a long time and i unironically think WOTR is their best game of all time. Its pretty close to what Alessio later did for Mantics game Kings of War, which is also a great fantasy block battle game
@Crushanator1 it was fantastic if you didn't play an absolute sweat lord that took 5 wraiths and shut down your whole army xD Inquisitor rpg is my all time fav GW game

Love to see another video on 10mm LOTR, my preferred ruleset for LOTR is MESBG, so the conjoined miniatures wouldn't work. These videos are inspiring me to try 10mm though... 1 inch to 1 cm MESBG??? (This is my very original idea™ do not steal)
I think many different historical games might have beaten you to the inch to a cm convertion already :P Yeh MESBG is the best, The STLS do allow you to print individual figures so you could put them on small individual bases. :)

@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth Yeah I was assuming warmaster. Wonder how tough it'd be to modify MESBG... I never did war of the ring; how different was it?
Love it! You've definitely got the right idea with not obsessing over details. I faffed about with mine but they don't look any better on the tabletop for it. I've seen those 3D printed minis online before and they look amazing. Slightly chibi-fied but that seems to work well at 10mm. Did you have a rule system in mind for them?
