    My biggest question was if it can be used to cook food on a pan, thank u 🙌

    • @sixwestpoint
      @sixwestpoint  11 месяцев назад

      Yes the kit used to come with an inbuilt pot stand which will support your pan perfectly. However this can also be affected by wind and results will vary based on conditions.

    Darren, thank you for reviewing these 2 cooking systems by Fire Maple. They have been expanding their line of outdoor cooking systems, so your information is very helpful. Liked and subscribed. Cheers.

    Hmmmmm, strange thing, in 0:47 you gave the differences regarding the power of both burners, but in my version of Star x2 it is very clearly written on both, the packaging and in the manual, that the power of the burner is 2.2 kW, not as you stated in review 1, 8kW, maybe I have a newer version in which it was changed/fixed?

    • @sixwestpoint
      @sixwestpoint  Год назад +1

      Hmmmmmmmm maybe 🤔 at the time I made this I had to take the details from the website as there was nothing printed on the boxes…..
      So I am guessing that since this video is around 5 years old that you probably do have a newer version…

    Can the pots be swapped out and used on the other stove? I saw that the I can buy the star 2 pot separately, and I wondered if I got the star 3 system if the star 2 pot would work with it.

    A question: Does the X3 pot fit into the X2 burner? And another: Do the pots have the same internal diameter? I ask because I'm hoping to get a coffee press for my X3, and can't get reliable info off websites. Cheers in advance!

      These clip onto the gas canister and give it stability. I actually use them all the time now and not just with my Fire maples I also use them with other gas canister stoves. They are available to buy from AliExpress on their own for a few pound.

      Sorry folks, the pots between the two systems are interchangeable. System uses a standard base fitting.

    hi how to keep canister after used? i mean how to detach and keep it?

    • @sixwestpoint
      @sixwestpoint  3 года назад

      A smaller canister 230gms and 100gms can be fitted into the pot with the burner and the lid will still go on but it has to be the 1l sized pot it doesn’t work on the 800ml pot.

  • @lindsayCswain

    Hey Darren, I've just picked up an X3 as couldn't find any X2 available. Two questions I'm hoping you can help me with. For the X3 can you fit the bag meals in the pot? And also can you fit a small gas canister into the pot to store everything all together?

    • @sixwestpoint
      @sixwestpoint  4 года назад +2

      Lindsay Swain hi.
      Bag meals fit in the pot just fine, as is usual you have to apply a bit of origami I usually just fold them drop them in and let them open up as much as they can.
      I believe there is a small 230gm gas canister that will fit into the pot with the gear. It’s actai ally my only criticism of the units that you can’t quite get the bigger canisters into them. I’ve learned to live with it but it’s a bit of a pain.

    • @lindsayCswain
      @lindsayCswain 4 года назад

      @@sixwestpoint Thanks Darren, super helpful! You can fit a 230? I was thinking only the really small one (100g) would fit. It hasn't arrived yet, hence the questions! :)

    • @sixwestpoint
      @sixwestpoint  5 лет назад

      Claus_80 No there’s just not enough room in there. I think MSR make a small canister around 125 grams but I don’t have one to test that.
