These seem like an excellent idea. They are essentially just an attempt to improve on pee rags which were already a thing. Technically, urine is sterile unless you already have an infection. The antimicrobial surface should reduce bacteria from getting on the cloth and thereby reducing the risk of introducing a bacteria to your urethral surface - though the bacteria ultimately has to find it's way up the urethra for a urinary tract infection. Wiping with your hand on tissue has some of those same risks except your hand definitely has bacteria on it. The antimicrobial surface shouldn't reduce the smell of urate but it should inhibit bacteria from growing on the cloth itself. Ultimately, this seems like a smart idea and something I will get for my daughter and wife. Women's health and hygeine is often overlooked and I'm not surprised it took an entrepreneurial woman to finally design, make, market and sell it. Seems like a good company to support.
I bought 2 Kula cloths a few months ago after seeing you mention them on a video. Not only do I really LOVE the cloth, the company was so great and personal when I had it shipped to Alaska! 100% recommend the product and company.
I probably saw a RUclips of a hiker who had this product and I thought it was great and I had to buy it! I received mine a few weeks ago. I have not tried yet but am convinced that it will be perfect. Nice and well designed, it will be perfect!
I am traveling full time in my van being a trail angel on the CDT. I am in remote areas the majority of the time and noticed how much tp I have to haul out. No doubt about it, I need a Kula Cloth so yes I would love the code. Thank you for the review!
I have 2 ladies (wife and daughter) in my life that hike, would love to be entered for a code. These seem like an awesome idea. Pretty sure I'll be getting my daughter the unicorn once with or without the coupon but since I need to buy two a discount would be awesome!
I would love to be added to the drawing! I love to hike and has just recently hit the trails again after having my son almost 2 years ago! I’ve copied your bandanna trick because I think the leave no trace for our earth is SO important!!!!! Love your channel!!!! You’re an inspiration!!!!!
Aw thank you so much Alexis for the sweet words! Email me your address and I'll make sure to send you a Kula coupon in the mail! HikeOregon@hikeoregon.net
I am loving this! I almost didn’t watch this video and was shocked to hear about this cool thing. Absolutely send me a code! I just told my husband I need one and he was watching with me! How cool is that? Love your channel!
I would love to be considered!! I really want one! It's so convenient!!! I went to a concert yesterday and I got soooo lucky and went into a bathroom with no toilet paper 😭
Good idea, but I am a Norwex fan and use Norwex for wiping our baby's butt and poop with a small Norwex body cloth very similar in size and cost to these, then simply rinse out with water, rubbing the cloth against itself to clean it and ready to be used again all week. I didn't hear you say you can use these for poop, only that they are pee cloths. You also didn't mention if you rinse them right away after wiping yourself or how to be able to use it again on the same hike if you need to use it again. Also, in my opinion they don't look like they feel soft or gentle like the Norwex cloths. You don't need to worry about touching the back side of the Norwex cloth as it is embedded in silver and nullifies the bacteria and proteins. I also feel the designs are abrasive looking to be wiping your gentle areas down there. Why not a leaf or rose petals or water or clouds? If I had a yoni I'd prefer those over rugged mountains, trees and branches or unicorn horns. The space one is nice. But in all reality, it's for cleaning pee and poo and a simple plain gray Norwex Body Cloth does the trick! Can be hung on a small carabeaner as well! I started using Norwex when I lived off grid and wanted to stop using dish soaps and other cleaners and detergents so I could save the gray water for our plants. These Kula cloths are cool, but I think they are trying to mimmick what Norwex has been doing for decades already. Let me know if you'd like a link to try it out. 2 yr warranty too!!!
You don’t wipe with the design side. They are very soft, especially after you wash them. They are for pee only and I use the cloth for the whole day backpacking or day hiking and then rinse it in the evening at camp and hang it from a branch to let it dry. For pooping when I backpack i carry toilet paper and carry it out as you are not supposed to bury TP.
Kula cloths have silver, too. It’s nice to have a side that doesn’t come into contact with fluids. Kula has a snap feature, you can fold it up to be discreet, unlike the Norwex. The idea is a cutely designed product specifically for women to build community and confidence. The concept of a pee cloth wasn’t pioneered by Norwex, either.
I wish you could get some shoe gaiters in these cool designs too! Hint hint, Kula!! I’ve seen dirty girl gaiter, but the designs from DGG remind me of just leftover scrap fabrics and I’m not really fond of them.
I would love to be considered for the drawing. Im new to Oregon and have a friend who is showing me around the trails of Oregon. We both could use one of these cloths. Thank you
How about Multicam for the fellas!? Good for wiping after doin the do too. Good idea. CNOC sells one, but if Multicam was available I’d definitely get one!
It has never been a problem for me or my friends. Most women I hike with use a Kula cloth. Just wash it after each day hike or if you’re backpacking rinse it every day.
It folds in on itself so it doesn't touch any dirt or anything when you put your backpack down. To each their own, this works really well for me for day hiking and backpacking.
Technically urine is sterile unless you already have an infection. The antimicrobial surface should reduce bacteria from getting on the cloth and thereby reducing the risk of introducing a bacteria to your urethral surface - though the bacteria ultimately has to find it's way up the urethra for a urinary tract infection. Hi! While watching a couple other demos, what was advised was dabbing rather than wiping from front to back. You're a real Cutey. I enjoyed watching your demo. Thanks!
What a great invention! I would love to entered for the Kula code! What kind of backpack do you have (the yellow one)? I have been trying to find a great yellow backpack!
A friend bought an REI Flash earlier this year, which REI calls it an Olive Oil color. It looks like a really nice yellow to me. Besides looking at the site, it’s in my Grand Canyon R3 vids.
Plenty of women will bring wipes and tp because of periods and sometimes they work better than tp for number 2 as well. If you have a kula, it eliminates the footprint and waste of a lot of tp if you use wipes for number 2. One wipe has less of a footprint than the appropriate amount of tp for the same purpose. :)
Far superior to a bandanna because cotton does not dry as fast as synthetic. You could probably wash them in the washing machine if you put them in a lingerie wash bag to protect it.
Yeah. Just carry that out-in-the-open on the pack. Hey! Can I borrow your potholder? "Okay. But it's got urine on it." Just pack some Cora Bamboo wipes.
The point of these is that you then don’t have to carry out any trash like tp or wipes. It really adds up with how much I pee when I’m backpacking/hiking.
@@HikeOregon How many hikes do people go on a year? id just do my business and wetwipe. bury or doggy bag the one wipe. Thats like someone having their favorite dildo on display at home. [l ook at this pretty thing i had up my coochie] Im teasing but its still a weird invention.
I think it’s great. When I long distance backpack it saves me on having to pack out that toilet paper or having to think about resupplying myself with tp. You don’t have to display it on your backpack, you can put it in your backpack side pocket or wherever. I went on 108 hikes this year and I pee a lot, so that’s a lot of tp that gets saved and that I don’t have to pack out👍🏼. I even used it when I lived in my RV trailer for two months because RV toilet paper is crazy expensive.

I'm supposed to use one cloth multiple times in a day use? That seems unusual and scary since I tend to get UTI's in the past. I would be worried.
It has never been a problem for me or my friends. Most women I hike with use a Kula cloth. Just wash it after each day hike or if you’re backpacking rinse it every day.

Ok how is pee rag is sanitary? how do you not get UTI using the same pee rad you are not washing everyday?
On a backpacking trip you rinse it every day yes. And after each day hike I hand wash it in the sink.
