Thank you for reacting! concerining the controversies; Blackswan's current lineup isn't the original. Formely there were five members. Three Koreans, the black member Fatou and a Brazilian member, Leia (Larissa). One of the korean members left in late 2020 after her contract ended, but slightly also because a controversy arose with this korean member Hyeme (This issue was immediately resolved and it was discovered she was innocent). Following this, their company decided to make them go under hiatus literally A FEW WEEKS after debut. Fast forward, the remaining four had their comeback with "Close to me" in October 2021. Now this is where is gets chaotic because around november during their promotions of this track, the brazilian member's fanpage on twitter comes out saying they're in contact with leia's parents (her mother specifically) and have found out that Fatou has been bullying leia while providing only a screenshot of this information. This quickly gains traction and nothing is being said because people take this as pure allegations until leia HERSELF comes onto twitter (A PLATFORM SHE BARELY USES BY THE WAY) to come and say people shouldn't make fun of her mother's portuguese because not everyone in brazil can afford that education. Basically indirectly confirming the allegations. This sends her community in a racist rampage and they relentlessly attack fatou on every platform she has with slurs and monkey and vomit emojis. During this time, her company is silent and refuses to say anything and Fatou takes it upon herself to defend herself. In her long statement, she basically states this behavior from leia is happening because she was upset Fatou didn't talk to her or interact with her as much anymore when the reality was Leia was an incredibly disruptive, disrespectful person that constantly made things about herself and made others uncomfortable. A few weeks before their comeback, they were in belgium for a festival and fatou's family lives in belgium so Leia basically got upset fatou got to visit family while she couldn't and disrespected Fatou's family. Fatou said this has always been how she was but her disrespecting her family was her last straw and no longer wanted to interact with her. The statement was deleted shortly after but people took screenshots (probably because her company told her to delete it). Now that we had both sides, many took fatou's side but also leia's brazilian supporters refused to acknowledge fatou's side because she supposedly exposed leia's medical conditions in the process. Overall this situation was very messy and Leia would still remain in the group despite these, the last two korean members left the group on july 2022, leia went on a mental health hiatus (she's not in the group anymore as of this year) and Now we have this lineup that was chosen through auditions. Fatou is the last remaining member of the og lineup. There's videos on this controversy i can recommend but ultimately the reason they recieve so much hate is because Leia's fanbase continues to harass Fatou over this situation because they think Leia was treated unfairly and never received proper justice. Also there's a sprinkle of racism into it because many international fans (again, mostly brazilian) don't consider them kpop whereas Koreans have welcomed them. I love this group! They are underrated and get hate. It must be hard being foreign idols but especially non Asian foreign idols. They really have a great line up with these girls.
