This video shows that our badger clan loves a chopped-up sausage roll every now and again.

We are still in the heat of the summer and we are again at the secret badger sett in Staffordshire.
We have chopped up a couple of cooked sausage rolls from the local supermarket cafe and put them on the edge of the lawn.
Sausage rolls aren’t something we give to badgers regularly, we normally give them a modest quantity of plain peanuts or some chopped up apples.
Badgers sometimes carry food off so they can eat it away from other badgers.
On this occasion, the badger is happy to lie on its belly and eat the sausage roll where we left it.
This may be because this is a more dominant animal.
Animals who are lower in the pecking order may be more inclined to carry the food off to eat it in safety.
Either way, the badgers look to be happy with the food they get.
