I'm retired law enforcement and besides a firearm, the flashlight was probably the second most important item I had. With all that said, currently I use Emisar D4V2 with 18650 Molicel unprotected flat top. This is part of my EDC. My goal was trying to convert most of my EDC gear to American made. Currently my wallet is made in Florida. My knife is made in Oregon. My firearm is made in Massachusetts. My boots are made in Maine. The only thing of my EDC that is not american-made is my flashlight. Could you tell me if you make a flashlight comparable in size and output as my current D4 V2? I just came across your flashlights today while looking for American made and I'm kind of clueless on them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For the M951 and M952 there are two possibilities: OPTION 1: Use our MD90 Adapter and one of our Scout Heads. Here are some links: malkoffdevices.com/collections/surefire-led-millenium-weapon-and-combat-light-drop-ins/products/malkoff-md90-adapter-for-surefire-mh90-body malkoffdevices.com/collections/surefire-drop-ins-for-e1-e2-and-scout-lights If you are looking for a purpose driven output, then the E-series of heads and MD90 Adapter are a better option. E2, E2D/Scout M600 head is just a smaller more streamlined version of the M61. E2 Super/Scout M600 head is a very bright and floody with little increased reach. E2 Hyper Throw/Scout M600 head is reach out to about 150 yds head. Limited spill. Malkoff E2XT head is reach out to 200+ yds. Limited spill. Note that the E2XTL is for a different body. You want the E2XT. OPTION 2: The M61SHO and M61 will work in the M951, but do to variations over the production lifetime there are a few caveats: 1. In some cases the M61 does not fit all the way down in the throat of the light. It is not necessary for it to fit all the way down. As long as the head will screw down, it will work fine. 2. Please make sure the batteries are installed with the nipple(+) facing toward the head of the light, 3. You may, or may not, need to stretch the tail spring on the dropin. 4. You may, or may not, need to use the black fitting ring we sell. 5. If there is a black grommet in the throat of the light, it may need to be removed (snaps out) with needle nosed pliers. Only remove this if the center hole is too small to allow the center spring (on the M61) through it. For the longest reach you would need option 1. If you have any questions about all the options, please call. Thanks, Gene
@@malkoffdevices6279 Thank you for your most prompt and informative response! (Now I just need to dig out my M952 and take it apart to see what I need: and research the differences in the two options, as well... Good thing I also have a standard Surefire, just in case?)
