In her debut game as a professional footballer, 20-year-old Ally Sentnor was easily the best player on the park (that's unheard of), running and scoring from the halfway line one of the goals of the season, just for good measure (check it out). I actually like Sam’s thinking with utilizing Sonnett. I actually would have liked to of seen Emma send in Sonnett and Lavelle on the back line with Tiernna. That would have been one hell of a master piece to see our three veterans of the 2019 championship squad putting down Brazils assault on goal. Forget about the rest Emily, Rose, and Tiernna would have wiped the floor with the Brazilians if Emma would elected to use that tactic. Maybe Emma just wanted to make the final game tense and exciting.

Lily Yohannes better become our new inside midfielder and fast. She also puts free kicks on frame and can play quality one touch. Emma Hayes has a big blind spot - Horan! It almost cost us.
This is just the start, 2 months into the job, imagine whats to come in the next 3 years til the World Cup. Trust when I say this Emma Hayes Knows very well who she is and will be called up and worked her way into the squad in the next 3 years. Fun times to come for the USWNT haha !

Wayyy too young and inexperienced with the the USWNT and like you said denied to play at the moment but if she chooses to play for us then best believe she will be incorporated into the squad in the next 3 years along with a bunch of players that didn’t make the short roster for the Olympics
I actually think we should break tradition this time and give Emma Hayes the MVP. First year only a few months and she brings a team and program that was faltering and at times conning apart at the seems back to world dominance. What a coach, it seems a little European style and training is what our girls needed. Go USA!!!

Karma finally caught up with Brazil. Congrats USWNT, great tournament and magnificent lesson of how you can win without having your GK faking injuries and requiring assistance every 5 minutes
@@MarianaBenedett you mean from the GK that simulated injuries in ribs, shoulder, thigh, knee and back? in 3 different matches and most of them without previous contact? yet she would still "heroically" dive for balls as if they were 1 million dollar suitcases? Sure, what an example she is...

No! Now that Emma has time to sift through the player pool, Williams will be out. Except for her one goal against an exhausted German team, she had zero positive contribution. You should check her Sofa Score stats & ranking. 😮😅 And our pool is so deep and amazing. Our future is exciting.
Julie Foudy is a hack. All she talked about was the tired legs of the U.S. and how the U.S. will need to sub. Guess what Julie, Brazil had the tired legs in the 2nd half and we barely even subbed. She never mentions Albert, who played hard and steady, and rants and raves incessantly about her favorites.
Lynn was not good this tournament. All the things you said she can do, she never did!! 😮 People need to take their blinders off. Remember when she dribbled herself out of bounds in the Germany game? Twice? No, of course you don’t. Just check her stats! 6.5 ranking in the final and only 3 touches!! (2/3 possessions lost) She must be a wonderful person. And congratulations to her and the team. But I look forward to the next gen!!
Amazing pass by Korbin. She had an amazing tournament. She gets such little recognition. PS: she has every right to her opinion. Just like all the tolerant people who had so much hate for Korbin. Yes, I am talking about the pink haired previous veteran. I think the culture (take a knee) that was created in the team at the end of Carli Loyd career (which she did not agree with) was the cause for their temporary decline. Hopefully they are done with the anti-American sentiment.
There’s a difference between an opinion and judgement, hate, etc. To promote homophobia on social media, mock an icon (Rapinoe) that God purposely punished Rapinoe, is just evil. I’m Christian and a fan of Rapinoe because Christ said not to judge, hate, etc. Korbin, wearing Rapinoe’s jersey number at that time, did just that. There’s so much talent out there. Where is Sánchez? I hope Korbin is thanking Rapinoe for her paycheck…

@@AndrewBlacker-t1d Rose played in nearly every game, she has played a huge part in getting the USWNT to the gold medal. Did YOU watch all the games leading up to this one? I just wish she could’ve had a min or two playing time in the final match. I’m not complaining about the choices, but for me, in an ideal world she would’ve gotten the moment of recognition.
@@westhoff- I disagree.
Rose would have been beat up. Brazil was really hitting our players hard...like they did with Spain. And if they could disrupt Bonmati who is similar in build to Rose they would have knocked her around too...IMO
So happy for you! Erm, but you do know that we English have taken this win as our own, too . My friend even messaged me “We won! Erm, i mean THEY won! 😂” if it had been anyone else but Emma we’d have been rooting for Marta…but (and I say this as a Man City fan who ‘hated’ Hayes Chelsea ‘cos they always beat us!) in England we have SO much Love and Respect for Emma , you just cannot not love her!
An e way. So happy the US is BACK! Your team was EXCITING to watch, just like the ‘old’ days of Tobin etc. I was also stoked for Sonnet, Rose, Lindsay and Mel who were in the team when I first ‘discovered’ the USA team during Covid!
Lindseys Game has dropped since shes been in France playing in a slow, low quality league, she needs to come back to NWSL, when she was in portland she was one of the best midfielders in the world
I actually like Sam’s thinking with utilizing Sonnett.
Shoutout Twila Kilgore
How about this for a bit of trivia? The three Expresso's girls scored three goals each (and weighed in with just as many assists) to get the USWNT to the finals. Rodmen scored the winner in the quarter-finals, Smith scored the winner in the semi-finals and Swanson scored the winner in the Final. They could not have spread the goas more evenly if they tried to. Now that's the best example I ever come across of a group of strikers that are right on song (forgetting the fact that they could all pass for real-life sisters all having black Dads and white Mums), lol.
And on another note, I am not the biggest fan of the USWNT midfield largely because more dynamic and influential players are waiting for their chance to show what they can do. Rookie Croix Bethune is already in the mix (and rightly so) but it is a significant oversight by Emma Hayes that she has not already noticed the best Rookie in the world.
Anyone who has not noticed how good the number one draft pick and the best player for the Utah Royles (leading in assists and goals) is, does not really know their football. Ally Sentnor, who is one of the best players (playing for the worst team) in the NWSL, will become thee stand-out USWNT player from the moment she gets her chance to shine. Yes even out-shinning the amazing Espresso.
And Sentnor will not need time to adjust either. Like Lilly Yohanis, she will hit the ground running for her country the same way she has hit the ground running for her club. Corbin Albert, like Ally Sentnor, is in her first season as a professional footballer but the only reason you would choose Albert over Sentnor is because you haven't seen Sentnor play.
Sentnor can dribble like Rodman, shoot like Sophia Smith and high press like Lynn Williams. She makes a decision and commits to it i.e. she does not second-guess herself. In addition, she is always switched on. Head's always on the swivel. Her mind never drifts and she never shows any sign of nerves.
In her debut game as a professional footballer, 20-year-old Ally Sentnor was easily the best player on the park (that's unheard of), running and scoring from the halfway line one of the goals of the season, just for good measure (check it out).
When the world gets to see her play in the best national team (USWNT) and alongside some of the world's best players. Girma, Fox, Dunn, Rodman, Smith and Swanson to name but a few, then and only then will the world agree with me and see what I see.
The extra 10 minutes was shocking. Come on. My heart sunk. Glad we came out getting the Gold.
Amazing team victory! Congratulations to the USWNT! Becky & Sam - thanks for being here to share your enthusiasm and insights and allowing your fans to celebrate together. ♥🤍💙⚽🇺🇸⚽💙🤍❤
Imagine now what the squad is going to be like when you can have a 23 player roster firing at all cylinders as opposed to the 17 player roster thats required for the olympics. Fun times to come for the USWNT haha !
@@iabnyc Emma wants her to play for us. In fact, Emma specifically said Lily turned down an invite to the Olympics because she wasn't ready to commit to us. Hopefully, seeing us win the Olympics and knowing that we get to defend this title in 2027 in Los Angeles will help get her on board because we absolutely need her.
@@winger0611-jl yeah for sure. Wayyy too young and inexperienced with the the USWNT and like you said denied to play at the moment but if she chooses to play for us then best believe she will be incorporated into the squad in the next 3 years along with a bunch of players that didn’t make the short roster for the Olympics
Is Marta the Brazilian Harry Kane, or is Harry Kane the English Marta?
Best US player:
Nahrer
Girma
Swanson
Rodman
Smith
Dunn
Coffey
Fox
Lavelle
Albert
Horan
Davidson
Sonnet
Krueger
Williams

So happy for the team, but sad for the two players that don’t get medals 😢for Campbell and Hal
LETS GO OOSA!!
I actually think we should break tradition this time and give Emma Hayes the MVP. First year only a few months and she brings a team and program that was faltering and at times conning apart at the seems back to world dominance. What a coach, it seems a little European style and training is what our girls needed. Go USA!!!
Alyssa and Naomi for Secretary of Defense immediately
Made me 😂!
Tierna put in a hell of a shift, really earned her pay
Question for Becky. You mentioned wearing glasses err contacts and the difference it made. My daughter met you at the Dash game earlier this year. She has a powerful prescription and is going to try contacts. How did the transition and change impact your game?
I thought Becky was still playing. Emily Sonnett looks exactly like her, lol
I like Sam’s loud mouth. I mean it😂
Not at all surprised by extra 10 minutes. The hydration break alone was 6 minutes, plus the goal and several injuries.
Nice ❤❤❤
Technically Brazil is a better team. Collectively USWNT is better however. USWNT has the will and the grit. They gut it all out. Alyssa is incredible. I said before that Swanson, Smith and Rodman were unstoppable. I am saying it again. Tripleespresso are unstoppable. Congrats to the team and Emma Hayes who has been able to transform the team.
Our defense is much better. It was why we held against their pressure versus Spain breaking.
@@winger0611-jl Alyssa saved two balls. Incredible
And the subs like Jane Campbell that doesn’t get medal 😢
Karma finally caught up with Brazil. Congrats USWNT, great tournament and magnificent lesson of how you can win without having your GK faking injuries and requiring assistance every 5 minutes
Who says they were faking? you clearly didnt follow what happened
@@aletapequenavocê ta chorando porque foi goleada pelo Brasil e acabou sem medalha

What do you think Lynn being converted into a center back or full back? She's really fast and tackles really well.
No! Now that Emma has time to sift through the player pool, Williams will be out. Except for her one goal against an exhausted German team, she had zero positive contribution. You should check her Sofa Score stats & ranking. 😮😅
And our pool is so deep and amazing. Our future is exciting.
😂😂😂😂😂
Time to replace Horan.
No
Julie Foudy is a hack. All she talked about was the tired legs of the U.S. and how the U.S. will need to sub. Guess what Julie, Brazil had the tired legs in the 2nd half and we barely even subbed. She never mentions Albert, who played hard and steady, and rants and raves incessantly about her favorites.
So tired of her commentary, I’ve watched the last 2- games with the sound turned off!
Agree 1000%
Had to turn down game cause of Foudy
@@davidmathewson1088 I felt the sane. I kept saying if she says “tired legs” one more time. What a downer.
Shut up already about the tired legs.
Such a universal thought because same! Kept thinking the coach knows what she's doing. Stop tryna push fatigue on them!
why did Lavelle sit during the last game?
The team is better without martha she slows it up
No defender can stay with Mal
🎧💗⚽
We needed Becky in there!
Can’t think of a better player to take the torch from Becky than Girma. Such resilience from the ladies!
NBC had no audio. Min 1 to minute 90+
Where will FIFA rank us?
there's no learning curves on corners. Mal hit 1 over the net, 1 barely hit the 1st defender etc. Just poorly taken
PENALTY!!!!!!!!!
Horan MUST retire
Never
Completely disagree.
NO
Nah...
The Lindsay hate is INSANE
Why weren't the US set pieces effective? Because we currently have a very short team. You cannot teach height!
Lynn was not good this tournament. All the things you said she can do, she never did!! 😮
People need to take their blinders off.
Brasil was the better team though.
How bout we be done with your commentary. We've moved on
There’s a difference between an opinion and judgement, hate, etc.
Looks like the glory days are over for USA. Brazil created much better goal scoring chances that had clear intent.
SPEED and OVER-POWERING remains the only advantage that USA has over other teams. And soon the other nations will catch on to this
LOL
Hey, who won the match? WHO WON THE MATCH?
@@robertosanchez2872 Sure the USA did win. But Not to worry there...more tournaments will be on the way and only then people will be surprised to see the USA NOT score 3 to 4 like in the past.
