Went online with Chavant and they indicate that the monu-melt is more for pouring and brushing clay for over a built up armature. Be sure and let us know what you think when you use it for a project and the end result when you don't melt it. I know some sculptures that use crock pot/micorvave machine to heat their clay.
I can see some pieces where using a combo of the soft and medium might be helpful. Since they're all the same color, it would not distract and may help with sculptures that have both fine a large details. What do you think about using one or more types of similar clay within a piece David?
how is it on the hands David? does the color smear all in ur hands? like the Van Akens Plastillina i bought and no longer use for that one reason. Been wanting clay that doesn't smear color in ur hands, and the Ukrainian modeling clay well they don't ship the the USA and that stuff zero mess no discoloration, well hope you can inform me ty, and saw ur work very, very good 🏆 there all i can give you is a Icon Tropy friend imma keep watching ur work ty.
No color smearing at all. I actually now use J-Mac Clay... but Chavant is great also... Chavant has a list of international suppliers on their Web page.. chavant.com
Don’t know much about the clay, but the horses and Chief are real pieces of great art. Just Beautiful beyond words !

Have you tried monster clay before? I prefer the smell and finish it gives over Chavant.
Can you still buy that soft MONU-MELT Clay? I went to the site and couldn't find it.
Try this link.. couldn't find soft either... try medium... www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dautomotive&field-keywords=Chavant-Monu-Melt-medium&rh=n%3A15684181%2Ck%3AChavant-Monu-Melt-medium

Hello back... Am I your Uncle?
Sir, where can this soil be found?
It's not soil.. it's plasticine clay.. You can buy the clay at sculpturedepot.net
You can't fire this clay. It never hardens either..
