But if us being terrible means Celtic are only three points and five goals better off than us then that - proof they are only marginally rather than "far" better" - tells us we don't have much to do to catch them, this season or next.

Correct, mate. We're playing poorly and Celtic are favourites, no doubt. But the absolute thirst from so many Rangers fans to write this season off is, I think, a reaction to so many disappointments in recent years - we're protecting our emotions. But on the field it's still eminently doable.

I feel it's the injuries, mate - losing Diamonde, after Yilmaz, were just two too many and the old guard - only three strong - is knackered after holding it together for two managers and a never-ending rota of team mates this season. Sunday will tell us if there's any way out of this slump before the summer.

Also I don't understand how the manager plays players that weren't even on the bench the game before and chops and changes to many players at once he should get his best 11 on at start for at least 3 or 4 game and let team settle not giving players a chance to have a run of games. Get it sorted and let us play football.
The "it's in our hands" narrative never works for me. Check the table - Hearts COULD still finish 2nd. But would anyone take it seriously that it's "in their hands" now?
