So this is the Skullcandy Terrain, now skullcandy did a good job of packing this speaker with features and it also has a long lasting battery life… but it only sounds good enough to get the job done. But today we’re going to compare the Skullcandy Terrain to the JBL Flip 6 which is a lot more premium and it sounds much better. So lets see if it worth it to you to go with something like the Flip 6.

JBL is just going hard on the competition, they truly are one step ahead everyone else and their speakers truly don’t disappoint at all. Great video.
Forgot to add portable before speakers since jbl really lacks behind when it comes to stuff like car speakers (better than most stock systems though)

@@d.g.o4410 if you ever do that get their higher end stadium line of car speakers if you want better speakers, look to brands like focal and if you are doing a car SQ system a DSP is a must

The flips for their size are the best soundings Bluetooth’s I’ve heard. Only the Bose flex may sound better at a higher cost tho.

Bose = best Bluetooth headphones, JBL= best Bluetooth speakers

There must be something wrong with the battery on my flip 6.. I never get more than 4 hours play time, and below 80% volume
During the soundtest, I could hear some noticeable distortion coming from the terrains. Honestly, I've heard speakers that costed around $20-30 that sounded better.
Any one who tells me they are getting a skullcandy speaker I tell them to get a soundcore motion boom

If you were getting more bang for the buck with the terrain then I would say most definitely get that speaker. But you’re not. You’re actually getting what you pay for. Maybe less even. Cut the price in half then I’ll most definitely reconsider. If you want a good sounding small portable Bluetooth speaker that’s less than $60 then I recommended the Tribit MaxSound Plus or the Anker Soundcore Boost. Those 2 speakers BLOW the Terrain out of the water
Exactly what I was going to say. Even the SoundCore three sounds better. You also can connect 100 sound core threes together just like you can with the terrain, but it doesn’t support stereo pairing. It also has much better battery life than the terrain. It doesn’t have a ton of bass, but it does have an adjustable EQ. It also is nine dollars cheaper. And if someone is considering the terrain XL, I personally recommend them to get the soundcore motion boom. That speaker will eat the terrain XL alive. The only Skullcandy speaker that I think is remotely worth it’s price is the terrain mini. That speaker sounds like it has a little bit more bass than the Anker sound core mini three.
@@Techlifeandmorethe terrain mini is only 6 watts. Which is the same as the JBL go 3, I think. That kinda tells me that for $40 the terrain mini ain’t all that either. With that said it would be interesting to hear a versus with the SoundCore mini 3, JBL clip 4 and the Tribit StormBox Micro (v1 or v2)
@@waynedexter go 3 is 4.2 W. Soundcore mini 3 is 6 W.
You should compare this speaker to the Anchor soundcore boost. I’d be interested to see which one you think is better.

When I got a terrain I was disappointed at skullcandy, I was expecting the skullcandy sound, a day later I took it back and got the flip 6

Their barrel speaker is awesome but the terrain socks, the kilo isn't bad tho
