What a daft comment. He's clearly covering the recorded version here which involves rythym, picking and lead. Try covering Acquiesce to that standard with just 3 chords and let us know how you get on. Daft prick.
think he used the original track. it's easy to bring it down to standard tuning using a DAW and then bring it back up. alternately it's possible he got it from Rocksmith or a similar source that had the stems
I find the oasis songs a bit boring to play, they repeat themselves a lot, they don't have complicated phrasing etc... The criticism is not towards you, far from it, you play very well, if not then... towards the oasis guitar.
