I agree with you on the packaging… It’s DEFINITELY A NO! I will say though, that from the deep conditioner to the gel, way too much product was applied. Brittany concerning your hair type, based on what I see on your videos (which I binge), I can say you are a 4A-4B girlie. But most of your hair seems 4A though(the front parts, which seem to have a looser curl pattern), and the frizzier parts which you often mention are 4B. I thought I was using too much product as well!!! so I started using less, but it was still foaming. I just think that’s the consistency of unfortunately. Also, they didn’t give any directions about how much to use so that would’ve been helpful if that was an issue.😭
I would love seeing you use the Jello Shot Gel again with one of your favorite leave ins. I have used this gel multiple times with different leave ins and have not experienced flaking.

I think it's foaming up because you're putting so much product in one spot. That was entirely too murch product. 💜 Gurl you had me in here cracking up😂😂😂😂 when you finished the gel!!! And maye the product went bad.
See I thought that too so I started using less product and it’s still foam up so I just think that’s the consistency. But to be fair with the packaging, it was kind of hard to control how much came out.😂
Leaving in your deep conditioner in your hair too long can actually do damage to your hair, BUT ONLY if you deep condition over night or for a couple of days (also to add if your do overnight deep conditioning often), but not for a couple of extra minutes. It’s called hygral fatigue, when your hair feels gummy, doesn’t define as much, why your hair frizzes up during styling, and when your hair doesn’t detangle as easy as it used to.
I think you are an amazing beautiful Christian woman! So refreshing and inspiring and I pray a special blessing on your life! I speak financial wealth over your life and abundance of Gods grace over your life my precious Brittany💕!
Girl i feel you😭 I used eco styler gel thinking it'd work for my 4c because it works for almost everyone, but I was wrong and woke up with residue and an itchy scalp. Always test products first for my 4c/4d people😭
The packaging looks like refill type packaging. Do they sell the dispenser bottles & containers? It would make sense for the sustainable ethos of the company. Definitely a brand i would look to try when i’m ready for my next switch up.
They do sell contact and ones with pumps which is crazy. It’s meant to be an eco friendly brand chance the returnable recyclable containers. That’s the point of the brand. Now if you want products already done and in jars than the less expensive products in store are right there 😉
Ive had that Ecoslay products bookmarked on amazon for months! i thought it would be cool to try but i couldnt bring myself to pull the trigger on the products. it felt like a product line that would be good for wash n gos and twist outs. My type 4 hair isnt out enough to justify the prices. I like the concept of the line tho.
I wish you would have test the banana cream deep conditioner with the jello shot since the deep conditioner can double as a leave in to see if it mix well
I had made this hair condition , an my hair had grow so long so you no your hair products you are making , but you are also showing them other hair products on the market great job on hair care
Great review, very detailed! On a slightly off topic note, that thing you mentioned about bananas and avocado, you could have a reaction to them because they're latex foods. Same here! 🥑
I've been using these products for over a year (Banana Cream DC, Rice Pudding Leave-In & Jello Shot) and I absolutely love them! The Jello Shot has the best hold I've ever seen in a gel, especially for one that is natural. You used WAYYYY too much product, I never get any flaking or residue when I use these products together. The best thing to do is to put the products in empty jars/bottles because it is re-fill packaging, you're not supposed to use the products right out of the packets. Once you do, they're a lot easier to apply and you won't get anywhere near as much flaking.
45:36 At this point, I would have washed my hair because I would have known my hair was finna come out with product curds /flakes… When you said the gel feels like rubber. I was thinking 🤔 that the products were not mixing well. But try to make another video with just the ecoslay or the ecoslay with the leave-in. I always wanted to try the Ecoslay jelly-o shot gel as well and I was shocked by your review but I love the raw reviews…. 🥰💐
Really good review. If the company was smart, they'd take this information and use it to revamp how they're doing business. I didn't like the packaging either and I didn't like how you aren't able to fully control how much product is dispersed. The simple fix could be to include a pump or some kind of topper that would minimize the flow of the product. Anyway, great review! Thank you!😊
I use to do the rice water method. I would spray my queen latifah braids under my wig and never took care of my hair at that time. My hair grew down my back IT WAS THE RICE However the stuff stinks and I can’t bother with the fermentation of the product.
Would u mind trying again with less? Like split your hair into different sections and try different combs of those products together to see which gives the best result. I think it would be a fun video🤷🏿♀️.
The way you had made that hair condition it was looking very good for the hair , so it take time to make hair products like you do , an you have long hair an pretty black hair so you do a very good job
I love your honest review. However I think you used too much of the leave in and the gel leading to to the build up. I suggest trying them again and using the leaving all over your hair first and then go in with the gel. Not too much thou. 😊😊
Hi Brittany. Love your content and the wash day videos. I've been following a lady from Haiti who has made her own hair care line as well. Derlys Hair Care if you care to try it.
See when I had very long hair I had cut my hair all the time , because I had got sick of washing my long hair trying to keep it up , but my husband had enjoyed my hair long
I have fine natural hair, but I enjoy your product reviews even though they do not pertain to my hair type. Congratulations on your hairline, and I can't wait to see what you have on store.✌️
I’d say your is. 4a/b if you want to define your hair by that silly system. I would say your is thick, kinky/coily, low density and long. In other words beautiful healthy hair.
Pro tip on the deep conditioner( sorry your batch didn’t smell like bananas 😭😭 mine always does) but you need more water with it. It’s suppose to foam up when you apply it with water and brush it through so it’s properly emulsified.
Wayyyyyyyy too much cream under the gel. You should’ve used only either one or rinsed only some of the banana cream and left some in. Not enough to see creamy white but as if you mixed it with water and sprayed your hair
Yea product application will be messy without the jars😅 also because of all the cream and both mixing together plus the gel you def got flakes because of that. I do have a video using these products and you can see no flakes ruclips.net/video/_O_FeD1xxNA/видео.htmlsi=OLiCb1u5dl6FLah7 I personally use the banana cream and Jell-O shot gel. Only I don’t care for the rice pudding leave in because the banana cream can be rinsed out slightly and used as a Leave in, so that way, I don’t have to apply product twice.
Just put the stuff in the extra jars almost all of us have laying around from empties. I wouldn’t have kept fooling with the pouches if I knew I didn’t like them.
You don’t understand, I was WAITING on this review lol I normally don’t comment but I just had to because I experienced the SAME thing (I call it curdling [what you called clumping] because it reminds me of when milk curdles/starts turning into cheese) I just did my wash and go on Thursday and I thought it might have been my pre-poo and that I didn’t use a clarifying shampoo (my pre-poo was the avocado deep conditioner from natur-all which has avocados and a lot of oils/butters in it [i used the açaí & flaxseed one for reference but idk if they still sell that one] and I clarified last week so I wasn’t doing it again this week) don’t even ask me why I pre-poo’d idk I never really do but I just wanted to use up those deep conditioners because it’s taking up space in my freezer anyways! I was thinking maybe that may have been the culprit but watching this makes me know that it’s because the products doesn’t mix well. I tried Jell-O shot with the banana cream deep conditioner/leave in and I noticed the areas where my hair drank up majority of the banana cream, the curdling wasn’t THAT bad. Which leads me to believe that you could only use just a LITTLE to literally NO product (at least cream product) with Jell-O shot. Granted I did not experience the same amount of flaking because when I reached the top where most of the banana cream didn’t absorb too well (because it didn’t sit in my hair as long as it did in the back and the front of my hair is low to medium porosity while the back of my hair is more medium to high porosity), I started to rinse it allllll the way out and THEN applied Jell-O shot which ended up being better. I am going to try again next week because I heard you should try it with Uncle funky’s curly magic as a “leave-in” or base gel and then apply Jell-O shot. I am on day 2? (Idk I did it Thursday and today’s Saturday) and I don’t see any major flakes but granted I didn’t really scrunch the crunch or stretch my hair yet I just put it in a pineapple yesterday to get my hair out of my face. But amazing video/review as always 🩵✨
Also, remembered two more things. 1) your hair seems to be 3c/4a but more 4a than anything. (But i hair type differently, because it makes morse sense to my to hair type when your hair is moisturized than when it’s dry with no product. Because my hair EYEEEE would say is 4a/4b more 4b than anything. And I have people call my hair 4c when it’s dry with no products or not properly moisturized but then have them call it 3c/4a or strictly 4a when it’s moisturized). 2) the reason why leaving in your deep conditioner in for too long can cause hydra-fatigue (moisture overload) and when this happens your hair always feels wet and mushy because you’ve over moisturized. And I mean your hair will feel wet for DAYS on end or from wash day to wash day. And we already know about protein overload with protein deep conditioners.
would you ever try a voluminous wash go? i have a similar hair type and my hair falls down and i don’t know how to make it stand up (if that makes sense). Could you possibly do a tutorial video on it 🙏🏾
I remember when I had cut my hair off but my hair had growed so fast , then I had made my own conditions for his hair , to beable to make his hair grow , because his wife was telling him he was looking old because he was having hair bold , who are doing your hair , this person no what there are doing and must no how to do hair , where this hair dresser, I would like for her to work for my company , so you are doing a great job with your hair video, so please donot give up because your very good with all your hair products Because it show from your hair that you are good with all your hair products once again , and I will be keeping up with you ,
What gel would you recommend that gives you hold for the summer without glycerin in it? I have been looking tirelessly for a good one. We have the same hair pattern, even the width. I think that is so cool! 🤩

You did use a lot of product but it does seem like the products do not layer well together that is why you are getting that clumping of the product. It seems very messy.
Don’t you love the way spwhen she took her hair out her hair wouldn’t move like a Lego😂 ( no hate) Girl tip for you Brittney don’t pile up on gel cause my flakes were worse and the reason is the amount of product. ❤
You should do a porosity test! I know people tell you you have high but the way your hair soaks in water and then kind of dries/shrinks multiple times in the same shower sessions makes me feel like you have high porosity 🤔 but of course that’s just me looking from a screen 😅
Your hair type is definitely 4b and there is probably some 4a in there too especially at the front since the majority of us are multitextured. I myself have mostly 4c, especially small coils at the crown/middle section maybe a bit of 4b in the front, can't tell lmao, and 4b-3c coils and curls at the VERY back. Your hair can also apear looser depending on the products you use(which is why I'm confused with my very front coils lmao, but pretty sure it's 4c).

I thought I was using too much product as well!!! so I started using less, but it was still foaming. I just think that’s the consistency of unfortunately. Also, they didn’t give any directions about how much to use so that would’ve been helpful if that was an issue.😭
We know know naturals are heavy-handed😂
@@britttanyrose no such thing as a dime amount over here 😂😭

I would love seeing you use the Jello Shot Gel again with one of your favorite leave ins. I have used this gel multiple times with different leave ins and have not experienced flaking.
I love that deep conditioner! I definitely only use Jello Shot alone or with a lighter leave-in conditioner
Your hair reminds me of mine 4A /4B
Use Jell-O shot without their products . Use a different leave in . It works better with other products . We have the same hair type ❤
Your hair type is 4a/4b i have the same curl pattern
Ok what type is the jheri curl hair..this hair of mine is
4a curls are wayyy bigger id say 4b/4c
@@sephoraplays7591 Her hair is nowhere near 4c. 4c curl pattern would be way smaller and have way more shrinkage. The front pieces of her hair, Which have a wavy coil texture are the literal definition of the 4a curl pattern. 4a is a wave coil pattern, It doesn't curl it waves and the 4a curl pattern is not big at all it's a coil so it's small.
@@sephoraplays7591 I think you are getting 4a confused with 3b, 4a is not a big curl at all. I have the same curl pattern, She said in a video that she would never say her hair is 4c. Her hair is no way near 4c, It's giving 4b/4a in the back and only 4a in the front. Which are her bangs. 4a is a wavy coil pattern that's why the front of her hair doesn't really curl it waves.
@@sephoraplays7591 4c curl pattern curls 4a curl pattern has a wavy coil pattern
The gel is very hydrating, i hope you use it again but by itself
For a wash and go i use the gel alone and it works great, moisturizing and no flake.
I knew it would flake from the leave-in, you applied too much and it was sitting on top of your hair. But I'm happy you loved the DC
I think it's foaming up because you're putting so much product in one spot.
That was entirely too murch product. 💜
Gurl you had me in here cracking up😂😂😂😂 when you finished the gel!!!
And maye the product went bad.
See I thought that too so I started using less product and it’s still foam up so I just think that’s the consistency. But to be fair with the packaging, it was kind of hard to control how much came out.😂
I agree about maybe the product went bad. If you didn't get the scent it may be old and the other products were separated like Curdled milk. 🤔🤔
Try The banana deep conditioner/leave in with the Gel. That combo seems to work well together.
I think you are an amazing beautiful Christian woman! So refreshing and inspiring and I pray a special blessing on your life! I speak financial wealth over your life and abundance of Gods grace over your life my precious Brittany💕!
So happy 😊 been waiting for a post from you! Always looking forward to your content!!
Please try the Banana cream with the jello shot
Hey Brittney, your hair is so beautiful. Can you try the Doux line please? Stay blessed!
Girl i feel you😭 I used eco styler gel thinking it'd work for my 4c because it works for almost everyone, but I was wrong and woke up with residue and an itchy scalp. Always test products first for my 4c/4d people😭
I would try the Jello Shot solo and no other products. I feel like you'll receive the look that you desire this way.
You are committed- I would have washed my hair again after seeing the white residue, clumping and flakes but your going to the dentist Lol 😂
Wow you really look like Sunjai, Star and Sky from Bring It! long lost sister 😮😊
The products are supposed to be poured into jars with a pump
Try Aunt jackie's 'Dont Shrink' Flaxseed Elongatging Curling Gel
I wish you would have test the banana cream deep conditioner with the jello shot since the deep conditioner can double as a leave in to see if it mix well
Girl I stopped using gel in 2022
I have your exact hair texture.. it thrives without gel!
Gel always left flakes and made my wash n go dry
Really? I couldn’t imagine not using gel because I prefer definition. But I might have to give this a shot!
Hi, what do you use ?
I stopped using gel for that exact same reason. I have yet to find a gel that didn’t give me flakes🤷🏽♀️
Same here! 🥑
How you feel about bananas is how I feel about peanuts lol. I finally got tested and it turns out I’m allergic 😅
I’m allergic to peanuts to😂
Would retry the gel with a leave in it mixes with? Because your results are really good without the flaking ❤
I was scrolling on shorts and I saw something called the “bounce curl brush”. Do you think that you could try that out? Love your videos❤❤❤
Yesssss
I am sure the packaging makes for easier shipping. It is horrible for application use. Maybe they think they want you to store in you own jars.
You have lovely 4A and 4B curls!
Would u mind trying again with less? Like split your hair into different sections and try different combs of those products together to see which gives the best result. I think it would be a fun video🤷🏿♀️.
Can you review the new shea moisture bond repair line next please?
Congratulations on your hairline, and I can't wait to see what you have on store.✌️
can you pls try megagrowth hair care line
I’d say your is. 4a/b if you want to define your hair by that silly system.
I would say your is thick, kinky/coily, low density and long.
In other words beautiful healthy hair.
Buy the containers with them, in keep the packages in the fridge but refill my containers
Chai latte definitely is a bit drying. It’s considered their clarifying shampoo for low porosity hair
First and you’re hair at the end looks so beautiful 😻
Thank you!!
Just put the stuff in the extra jars almost all of us have laying around from empties. I wouldn’t have kept fooling with the pouches if I knew I didn’t like them.
Could you also review TPH hair care line?
You should try the doux!
I think she has already tried the mouse but not the whole hair care line ❤
Donna's recipe by Tabitha Brown
I’m excited to watch
I know I am super late to this video but when you have really bad flakes like this an oil/serum is this best way to combat it.
And I also enjoy all your meal to keep you in shape , an to beable to keep you in good health
Shampoo might be strippen but its vary deffinig
You don’t understand, I was WAITING on this review lol
I normally don’t comment but I just had to because I experienced the SAME thing (I call it curdling [what you called clumping] because it reminds me of when milk curdles/starts turning into cheese) I just did my wash and go on Thursday and I thought it might have been my pre-poo and that I didn’t use a clarifying shampoo (my pre-poo was the avocado deep conditioner from natur-all which has avocados and a lot of oils/butters in it [i used the açaí & flaxseed one for reference but idk if they still sell that one] and I clarified last week so I wasn’t doing it again this week) don’t even ask me why I pre-poo’d idk I never really do but I just wanted to use up those deep conditioners because it’s taking up space in my freezer anyways!
Also sorry! I know my thoughts are all over the place 😅
Yes I have low porosity hair and with the ban cream you have to only use what your hair will soak up as a leave in
Also, remembered two more things.
Could you possibly do a tutorial video on it 🙏🏾
I remember when I had cut my hair off but my hair had growed so fast , then I had made my own conditions for his hair , to beable to make his hair grow , because his wife was telling him he was looking old because he was having hair bold , who are doing your hair , this person no what there are doing and must no how to do hair , where this hair dresser, I would like for her to work for my company , so you are doing a great job with your hair video, so please donot give up because your very good with all your hair products
Because it show from your hair
that you are good with all your hair products once again , and I will be keeping up with you ,
Do you ever plan to have a refill system similar to this bc if you make that an option I'd probably buy all my products from you❤
What gel would you recommend that gives you hold for the summer without glycerin in it?
I have been looking tirelessly for a good one.
We have the same hair pattern, even the width. I think that is so cool! 🤩
Love your hair videos, may you try the bond repair by shea moisture?
I was just looking at these products!! 😳Thanks for reviewing !! Can you try Herbal Shea products by Indigenous Strandz and Ariana Almira Naturals products ? Ariana drops the 14th of every month, but I don’t think Indigenous Strandz has a set calendar with releasing products
Please try KCurlsys by Eugenia Kelcy next.
Review the Laddy Holistics brand next
Hi Brittany. Could you try nature's little secret, bask and bloom, and adwoa beauty please?
Hi my daughter had that same thing on her eye lids and i used apple cider vinegar and it went away in days
I know that you’re making shampoo. Do you think it would work well on my for 4a hair? 😊
So I will be keeping up on all the hair shows
You did use a lot of product but it does seem like the products do not layer well together that is why you are getting that clumping of the product.
Would you do a review on Canvas hair products. Thanks
I hadnt seen the end result but i knew it was going to be flaky at the end😢😅
Sorry Britt. But what if the products expired
I don’t think they were because on the website it says they’re good until you open them but idk
I was thinking 3C hair mixed
Does it work for white hair I know it’s for black hair but can it work for it but even if it is not I support you girl your videos are satisfying ❤🫶
I was hoping to love the jello shot but I hated it. I didn’t like the smell and my haur felt damaged after using it. I loved the banana creme DC but wouldn't keep it as a staple due to the price.
Very beautiful hair yes
JelloShot left residue in my hair and my hair was CRAZY HARD.
Omg I am the same way with Bananas and Avocado
can you review Issa Rae line she invested in Sienna naturals
Your hair seems 4a/4b
