J DUB Looks like you need to level grind and I don't recommend you grind outside the boss battle since you only run into inferior monsters. Fight before you climb the stairs until your party barely gets experience points. It's still a challenge but I did like I previous posted plus use that prism along with regular magic on the boss. I attacked the worm once it's alone or have about 2 minions left.
This theme should have been used for all boss battles in the game, except for maybe the final boss. It's probably the best boss theme I've heard for a while.
No I never over levelled. It's not possible as far as I know. There's a level cap for each area so you can't grind your way up since no monsters will give exp after that.
@wowmarkus You can learn a skill from the item Search Glasses. Search glasses is available in the hut in the mountains before the first boss. You need to examine to light a candle in the back of the hut, then examine again a little to the left to find the glasses. The Search Glasses can also be bought in the city after the second boss if u dont want to go back.
@APBGK If its correct, you should have a gotten an anti paralysis item somewhere in the Reef Shallows in this same Area ( Sea of Bauss ). Its named Yellow Band. Let Kaim and Seth learn Anti-paralysis then give the item to Jansen :).
I found out how to beat this this guy. The magic move Prism saves the day specifically in this battle. The dorky character can use it. There is another defensive move that helps as well.

@Sakotius i used the averTV HD H727. its a very nice capture card ( HDMI ) but i dont recommend it actually. They made it so that you can only record with their own software. there's a lot of people finding other programs that work but its a real hassle. it wouldnt be all that bad if they didnt put a maximum bitrate on the video's which imo is the main negative point. so the quality couldve been a lot better even.
If there would've been a sequel I think they would have announced it already. This game didn't sell too well even though it was one of the best JRPG's out there. So I don't think a sequel is coming sadly.

I remember this battle, when those things would reappear. They reminded me a lot of Sin Spawn from Final Fantasy X. Great music here aswell, as with pretty much the entire Lost Odyssey soundtrack lol. Yeah the battle definitely went well =)
This is an annoying boss. I can’t believe you have to fight 2 of those guys! I’m stuck here even though I leveled up and learned all techs from rings! I’ll eventually get it. Just beat him! So happy! Now on the White Boa!

one of the devs was invlolved in ffx you think? you do know that the Director of this game, the lead of this game was the founder of final fantasy right, and made and lead square in making all ff games up until 10 before he left and made this game and blue dragon.
Why do people feel the need to compare this game to Final Fantasy 13 or for that matter to compare 13 to any of the other Final Fantasies. Each new numbered FF should be treated as a stand alone game (or series in a few cases), stop comparing them to XIII and you might find you'll actually XIII for its own merits.. That is what I did. Lost Odyssey is a great game so far though I haven't finished it. Kaim is a badass and Jansen is hilarious, this boss was a pain in the but.
God...when i first played this, it took me FOREVER to beat this ugly-ass monster. But going through the game the second time after beating it (with all of my immortals in level 50), it was a total breeze. -w-

One of the very few reasons I'm still considering buying a 360 one of these days. Just to play those few JRPGs that came out on it

That’s pretty good reasons. Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were the first ones I went for. I already had SWKOTOR 1&2 on PC so those were all I needed.
