- Here is some raw footage of us using our Vermeer ATX850 articulating loader on a big crane job removing several large pines! This machine has treated us EXTREMELY well since we got it last year and hasn't let us down! We will have a review video coming on this machine along with some tips and tricks + tutorials!

Nice operation. What grapple attachment are you using?
Ryans Equipment mini skid grapple I believe its a 52"
Are these machines suitable for bigger, taller people. I’m 6’6” a little over 300 lbs. I was just curious, because I’d consider this over a compact tractor.
Im 6' 220 and I fit in it great. I'd suggest you demo several machines that you have interest in and find what suits you the best. 👍
@@ColonialTreeService I agree,…that’s really about all I can do. The sucky part is finding nearby dealers.
@@amandadavis9726 Definitely purchase a machine at a dealer near you, having service techs close by for any freak issues with electronics and such is a huge plus.

What buttons are you using to control the grapple open and close? Ours is the yellow pto switch. There is no way to feather it.
Swap where the hoses connect into the coupler until the open close is on the blue. Being able to toggle the rotation on yellow and take your finger off is huge for working around structures keeping picks held in certain positions
@@ColonialTreeService Oh, do you mean on the machine side? Then what button would you use to control the telescopic boom?
@@hedgeking5254 Telescoping boom on our machine is activated on an AUX switch. Whenever I wanna scope in or out I just flip the AUX down, do what I gotta do then switch back to the grapple
