Hi Sir Alan, Your work in your movie library is forever improving to fit your needs as always, awesome work, a lot releases available, the Imprint label really give their movie releases a lot of attention, another fine update as always Sir 😎👍
Hi Carlos, cheers mate, I should have space for a further 3000 movies give or take a few 🤔 I’m always tinkering in the room 😁 absolutely mate, Imprint are a great boutique label and the box quality on their sets are the best on the market 👌 cheers mate, take care 👍😃👍
Cheers mate, fingers crossed on that 🤞 three in this set were worlds first blu-ray releases though, they are the type of movie that Indictor get their hands on, take care mate 👍😃👍
Hi Ariel, glad you enjoyed the views of the seafront. I’m happy with the library, especially as it’s almost completed (thank goodness 🤣) yeah the black cloth hides a multitude of sins 😆 take care Ariel👍😃👍
The movie room is looking fabulous. You’re certainly handy with all those tools. Every home needs an Alan 😂 I love what they’ve done either the thing you’re stood under on the seafront (I’ve forgotten what it’s called). It’s so keeping with the time of the original. They removed our old town bandstand which was really quaint and replaced it with a fecking thing that looks like a Klingon ship. It’s hideous. No one likes it. Some lovely footage in Bristol too. I ❤ that castle. I want to live there!!!
Hi Lisa, unfortunately Melanie has seen my handy work in the library and has me doing work all over the house now 😆 The bandstand is looking beautiful, they have been working on it for months, ooh no, why would they remove your bandstand and replace it with a modern one…that’s sacrilege 🤬 we used to play in that castle in the 70’s it was all overgrown back then, take care Lisa 👍😃👍
Great video Alan. Bristol looked lovely, and the movie room is coming along very nicely indeed. I watched The Colour Room on Sky when it came out...great movie. Take care mate 👍
Cheers mate, Bristol is a beautiful and huge city, so much to see and do, yeah there’s not a great deal to do in the movie room now (thank goodness 😆) glad you enjoyed The Colour Room, I’m partial to biopic. Take care mate👍😃👍
My pleasure James, I had two pictures of you to choose from both had you holding a cup of tea 🤣 thanks again mate, it was very much appreciated, take care👍😃👍
Hi Alan, those Imprint films look very good, Love the older War films especially the Black and white ones, another film that looks right up my alley is Botany Bay, hopefully that will get a release over here. Thanks mate
Hi Mark, yeah I’m the same, you can’t beat and old black and white war movie, they are very nostalgic to me, Botany Bay was a lot of fun, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Hi Alan, hope you’ve been well mate. Your movie library is looking brilliant, really good, I can’t wait to see the final results, it will be great. Great pickups by the way.
Hi Ben, cheers mate, yeah I will be happy when all the little finishing touches are completed, I will have to find a new project to start on 🤣 thanks Ben, take care mate👍😃👍
Well done for at least mentioning the historical inaccurate box ticking with that film. I nearly spat out my tea when you said it was set in a 1920s village in England! Good DIY work on the library just needs the finishing touches now. This week I bought the Raquel Welch western and the criterion Blu-ray edition and historicaly accurate casted Menace II Society as Amazon had it on offer at a discount. 👍😁😎
Thank you very much, I don’t mind race swapping on fictional characters but I don’t think they should on historical characters, I find it very jarring, plus where do they draw the line…🧐 I’m looking forward to finishing the library, it’s been a long time since I started the project, take care mate👍😃👍
Cheers Steve, yeah I can’t fault Brighton council with the bandstand….if only they showed the same attention to the potholes 🤣 all ok here thanks mate, hope you are too, take care👍😃👍
Just come home from work and the postman has delivered me 88 films Blu-ray hannie Caulder Raquel Welch 😍 one of my favourite westerns 👌🏻🎥💿 great video mate 👍🏻
Been madly busy with other thins so am catching up before your one tomorrow! Blaise... that brings back memories of childhood picnics. Great work on the room and shelvesLots of interesting titles this week... and a lot of _revenge_ it seems. I'm after *Hannie Caulder* but am waiting because I massively overspent on another hobby this week and it'll drop I'm sure. Shame what you thought of *Arthur's Whisky* as I thought it sounded good... obviously not; looks like you saved me there! Glad you had a good time in Bristol.
You never know Justin we may have passed each other when at Blaise Castle in the past 🧐 I actually picked up Hannie Caulder a few days ago, it will feature on the next video…. My goodness Arthur’s Whisky was diabolical, shame really as it had a good premise, take care mate👍😃👍
Great video Alan, loved seeing your trip away to Bristol, looks really nice and driven through it twice but never stopped. I’ve been to Weston quite a lot in the past. The main thing is the weather was loverly. Great set from Imprint films. Great pick ups too. I picked American sniper 4k the other day. The shelf’s look absolutely amazing. Take care.😃👍
Hi Carl, Bristol was a lot of fun and the beautiful weather certainly helped heaps….Weston-Super-Mare was a place I used to go on day trips during the school holidays so nice to revisit 🧐 yeah the Imprint John Farrow box set was brilliant, I enjoyed it from start to finish 👍 cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
I've actually seen that Knife Angel in person before, but it was in a different location. The place where it was built is quite near to where I live and I've been there loafs of times.
My pleasure mate, this was the reason I started my channel in the first place, the more movies these companies sell, the longer they will produce them, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Really enjoyed that Alan also appreciate your honesty when a film is bad you say it’s bad. Speaking for myself I’m not a great fan of films that change historical events with people of different race for me you mustn’t attempt to change history or present it in different way I think it is oh so dangerous which is probably why evil repeats. Enough of that on a nice day nice job of your room btw it looks wonderful.
Thank you very much, I don’t mind race swapping of fictional characters but I draw the line with historical inaccuracies, it takes me out of the story, I don’t know why the filmmakers decided on an young Indian woman as the actual woman was a middle aged white woman….it makes no sense to me 🧐 cheers, the library is almost complete, thank goodness, take care👍😃👍
Just the one pick up for me this week and it had to be Dracula. Christopher Lee imo will always be the best Dracula he played the part superbly. I’m a big fan of all the classic horrors especially Hammer.

You’re a man of many talents, I didn’t know you were a chef also. The shelving is looking great. Did I spot there that you have added a little gold plaque for your HMV Premium Collection shelf….Im always jealous that Imprint sends you those wonderful box sets. I’m not very familiar with John Farrow, I have only seen the movies he did with John Wayne - Hondo and The Sea Chase.

Welcome back Alan, The library looks beautiful and very good job on your hard work, I’ve never heard of that filmmaker before and it sounds like very interesting films. I’m always in awe of the shore sites and the history behind everything as well. Be well my friend
Hi Kenny, thanks mate, the library is almost completed (thank goodness 😂) yeah John Farrow was unknown to me too, I enjoyed these movies, he certainly had style. Glad you enjoyed the history and views, take care mate👍😃👍

Thanks Laura, if I see The Big Click for sale I will add it to the collection 👌 I did ask the manager of HMV about the Premium collection and he said that they haven’t ruled its return out but I personally think it’s come to an end unfortunately ☹️ fair enough Laura, you know better than anyone if you want to watch a movie or not, take care👍😃👍
Wekcine back! Looks like youre getting a lot done! Enjoy your trip? Has Indicator recently started distributing movies in the UK? It seems that theyve added quite a few titles recently... A lot that look quite interesting too...
Hi Erik, thanks mate, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip but now it’s back to reality 😃 Indicator is a UK company (they started in 2016) but for a few years they wouldn’t supply HMV but they have changed their minds and have returned (thank goodness) the recent release were initially put out in box sets years ago but are now getting individual releases (which I prefer) yeah loads of cool titles coming out….so many movies, so little cash 🤣 take care mate👍😃👍

Auyup Alan Sorry it’s been awhile. It took about three weeks to have my wet room refurbished, I spent three weeks with no shower and I wasn’t really functioning on anything else other than I was just thinking about my wet room. To answer the question that you posed on Instagram when you went into a charity shop and saw the 1997 special edition VHS clamshell individual releases for £30 as a bundle, definitely a good price. I say this is somebody who managed to pick up both the standard gold case versions and the wide screen case versions , of the releases you saw and they are an extremely rare find, especially the wide screen variance. Anyway, I hope you and yours are okay and big cuddles
Hi Eva, no need for an apology, if you don’t leave a comment I completely understand 🧐 I’m glad the wet room is sorted, I have one and it took a long time to put in, it seemed like an eternity. Thanks for the feedback on the Star Wars VHS’s I believe they have been sold, hopefully to someone who will give them a good home. I’m well thank you, just a few finishing touches with the library and I will be very happy, big hugs and Cuddles Eva, hope you have an uneventful week.👍😃👍
@@kermitsghost thanks Alan. I appreciate that. Were you actually looking for some 97 special edition VHS tapes? I mean the most common versions the wide screen and standard edition box sets in both of the golden silver respectively, gold for standard/pan and scan and silver for widescreen. What are you finishing touches left for the library? The best part of my wet room right now is that they also replace my toilet so the actual pedestal and bowl is smaller so now I can open my door all the way 🤣
I wasn’t looking to get them, I just happened to see them in a charity shop and thought I’d ask if they were adequately priced 🤔 I need to varnish and put edging on the bookcases to hide the shelving joints, so it’s almost done. Always nice to be able to open or close the toilet door 😁
@@kermitsghost no it’s just actually easier to transfer from toilet to chair and vice versa when I’ve got my chair halfway out the door at this point 😜🤣 Oh, I thought you were wanting them at one point, okay. I probably spent a little bit more because I had had to go and track them down individually, but I’m just happy I got everything in both gold and silver clamshell cases, I mean I guess this is what happens when the Darth Vader head box set are going around in circulation more because more people bought those copies specifically. The thing I do like about those releases even though I don’t like the paper sleeve cases is it if you get addition you can make a Darth Vader helmets looks good for displaying. So in terms of the library, it’s just touchup stuff. Nothing big nothing major? Hoping you don’t get high on varnish 😜
May pick up Wicked Little Letters at some point, I’m curious if it was filmed in Littlehampton, which is town now rather than a village. Not keen on race swapping as it usually takes me out of the movie, as it is not historically correct. I picked up Hannie Caulder and Count Dracula from this weeks releases.
You are absolutely right Littlehampton became a town in 1853 👍 the race swap issue does take you out of the film but it is entertaining overall, I will definitely be picking up Hannie Caulder soon as the cast and story sounded very good, cheers mate, take care👍😃👍
Wow, this video is really rare one. the Arthur’s whiskey movie must’ve been god awful for you Alan. You never turned down movies and you never say anything bad about them . I was waiting for the day you would hate a movie. I don’t know why. lol 😂
I was so disappointed in it Mike, I could feel myself getting angry watching it, as you know I love most films and enjoy a wide and varied range of genres and styles….but this film was abysmal, the acting was incredibly amateurish and none of the possibilities were realised 🤬 not a film I would recommend 🤣 take care mate👍😃👍

@@kermitsghost no it’s just actually easier to transfer from toilet to chair and vice versa when I’ve got my chair halfway out the door at this point 😜🤣
Oh, I thought you were wanting them at one point, okay.
@@Eva_HI am not looking forward to finishing off the varnishing (even if I still can’t smell anything much 😬)
All that history and nature scenery . Watch out David Attenborough. 😂
Cheers Mike, I don’t think David has anything to worry about 😁 take care mate👍😃👍
Good to see you back Alan ,has it been 2 weeks already?
Technically I wasn’t coming back till next week but I just can’t seem to stay away 😂
