Happy Sunday! My gosh this week was a roller coaster! I start off strong with sanding and staining on the pine tongue and groove boards for siding the custom exterior finishes! Then I went into panic mode as everything was going wrong with blocking for the soffit by myself. Getting the blocking finished was quite the feat but it made for a much easier soffit installation. Seeing soffit, fascia and gutters/eavestrough go up is an absolute dream come true. The home that I have worked so hard on is getting wrapped up and I couldn’t be more excited!#building #construction #homebuild #exterior #soffitandfascia

Hi Biata! I love the colour of your stain, I'm using a similar colour in my house for my shelves and cabinets. Please don't think less of yourself for getting help, some things are far too much to do on your own - I can't believe you tried to put that board up by yourself 😮!! So it’s Benjamin Moore woodlux stain and sealer Base K592-00 (this could also be 06 at the end, the writing was messy on the can. And the reference number is 36586. I don’t know if this is a code for any Benjamin Moore store but it may be specific to the store I went to because they custom mixed it to a flooring sample I picked! I’m not sure if this is helpful!

It may come handy if you want to do something and don't know where the studs electrical wire, vents, ducking etc etc are ...

First, let me give you virtual hug second you’re doing a good job seeing that you’re doing most of this work by yourself now to the point the insipid, crying and whining because things get tough. Don’t make them easier. You’re a tough chick. You’ve built a freaking house yet. It’s like you don’t see your own value. If you need help pick up the freaking phone and call someone you keep saying it’s a two person job , if it’s a two person job then get a second person to help you when you know it’s a 2 person job and stop all the crying Cuz it’s annoying much love and continue to do a good job and Cam needs to step up more and help you more. Yes he has a job a full-time job but he can step up.
To rid the Hornets w/o getting stung: Use spray bottle with DAWN dish soap, EARLY in the morning. They’ll literally drop to the ground as they can’t fly Problem eliminated!
Wow. You are a very talented woman and not afraid to learn everything you possibly can. Getting upset when things aren’t going right is natural so don’t let it take you down. It was great to see you smile the next morning and have Cam there for you to help. That is LOVE ❤️. What a difference by getting the sheet metal on and you will be super glad you did the gutters. Think about putting leaf guards on them so you don’t have to clean out the leaves.

I like the way people think the boards have a groove for a different look, its actually there to allow air circulation, under the board, to help to stop swelling. Looking really good, is the color of the tin siding called Monument or Charcoal?
