- Time for another piggy health video! In this video I'm going to go over all the symptoms you should watch out for in your piggies. If you notice any of these symptoms in your guinea pig, TAKE THEM TO THE VET ASAP! They could be ill, and it is better to be safe then sorry.

When you do your weekly health check, hold your piggy with it's side next to one of your ears, and listen to it breathing. Do both lungs. It should sound smooth, quiet, and consistant.
My guinea pig died the day before Easter I was so sad and I just got a new one and this vid helped me !
if your guinea pig is peeing red-orange and is "crying" while peeing, it's more likely to be UTI, but it can also be bladder stone.
If your Piggy’s eat too fast they don’t have gag reflexes and cannot throw up food caught or water down the wrong tube. I found that it’s much less anxious for me to not feed them all their veggies at once and give it to them one thing at a time.
It’s helps with them fighting over food being robbed of their food by their mates etc.
They are fascinating little creatures with wonderful individual personalities.
I’m very grateful for them that I was the one to find the two girl’s abandoned in the freezing cold with feral cats and hungry coyotes in area.
People can be crueler than any animal for sure.

Hello,I got my two piggies yesterday and one of them started sneezing,but hes very active,eats,drinks a lot.
My parents won't take my pig to the vet :((((
edit:also, my guinea pig used to sneeze pretty often and have a dirty nose, but now it's stopped mostly. What does that mean?

my guinea pig died today. he was 2. he had blood around his nose and mouth. I loved him so much and I'll was sad all day. I am about 15 and don't know if I should get new because my brother and parents say it's difficult for us to clean their cage and I don't want to be in college with a guinea pig.

Gosh those tummies distracted me and I wanted to kiss those tummies. I love guinea pig tummies. And guinea pig feet. And guinea pig lips. And well all parts of perfect guinea pigs. All guinea pigs are perfect. LOL
my guinea pig wont eat or drink and her head is down her back is like weird and yesterday i saw her not using one of her leg and this morning she has like crust around her eyes and ears and today is the weekend so the dumb vet is not open so im going to wait until monday :(

Ok so how can I handle uri? My Guinea pig has sneezing eye crust and hard breathing. I brought it to the vet today and they gave him antibiotics. I hope it helps. Any other help?
My ginuea pig is new and she was doing fine until I gave them fresh veggies. Uh I knew not to give them 3 kinds for the first time. But carrots was fine tried that on both my skinny pig and guinea pig. They were just eating Timothy hey and pallets. I gave them green lettuce like URS I know never ice burg. Anyways, today my guinea pig is not talking, eating, has squinted eyes and is breathing fast!!!! Should I run her in to the place I got her? I know she's still knew and one free check up. It's PetSmart.
Stella, my guinea pig sneezes sometimes, maybe it happens like ones or twice in a month. Luna never sneezes, should i worry about it?
My Roxy does that too. I don't think it's anything to worry about UNLESS she shows any other signs besides just the sneezing. :)

Two Perfect Piggies my Rex boy sneezes 5 or more times a day! Is that bad?
Pls help idk what to do. My baby has been on anti biotics but he keeps sneezing. That's the only symptom but he has sneezed 7 times in the past 20 mins

My guinea pig who's just 4 years old and few months old . Stopped eating his dried food but still has veggies but drinking fine but I think he's lost little of weight of last few weeks .. when I checked his weight he was good for his age but he not as happy as he is but he's got vets tomoz hopefully he's okay

Sad my Guinea pig just died had problems breathing : ( and she's 5 years I think.
My guinea pig, Max, is not eating, drinking, or using the bathroom. His head twitches, and he is old and sick. My mom said "There's nothing a vet can do about it." and my dad said "The vet is too expensive." I really want my guinea pig to be happy, and to stay alive. He never really walks, and he goes on his side when I put him on my lap. He is breathing unusually, and I'm worried. Can you help? Thanks! ^.^
Hello... it's unfortunate that your parents don't want to take Max to a vet. This sounds very serious, and the only way you can find out what's wrong is by going to the vet. They will diagnose him and give you a treatment. Really try to get him to a small pet specialized vet ASAP... things aren't going to end up good if you don't take him in :( Good luck, I really hope he's okay!
It dyeing of old age these dumb creatures have a short life span their middle aged at two that's why your parents are not taking it to vet it's just old their probably right you can't do anything about old age
my guinea pig Micky's eye can't open and today, white stuff came out of his eye. idk what to do but his eye is only opened a little bit and can't open it anymore. What should i do about this problem. Megan DL guinea pigs secrete a white liquid from their eyes which the use for grooming. if it is crusty then it means your guinea pig is not cleaning himself and may be lethargic.
That happened to my piggie. I took her to the vet. Turns out she had an ulcer in it, so we got medication and it was all fine after that!
My mom couldn't afford to take my guinea pig to the vet. He has a cold and is not moving anything but his head. He's also shaking and not eating or drinking

Hi! I know this video is old, but my guinea pig keeps shaking his head alot and jumping around randomly. Im assuming hes happy but sometimes its just a little overboard and I want to make sure he okay.
