The ones with the blue decals are Pro models. Bigger fuel tank, telescopic mirrors, extra work lights, 2hp gain and extra torque for the 4240, 42mm assistor rams as opposed to previous 36mm, single pto shaft with adjustable 540/1000 in the cab, air con and air seat as standard for 4240XL. Probably some other details that I can't think of. The Pro models were a nice little upgrade before the CX series became available.
Hello, I am the owner of a tractor case 4230 engine d268 and I had a head gasket replaced only I don't know what the valve clearance must have. great film
still not registered but it will be hope fully late this year. its abit of a ball ache as its got no numbers as the plaque has rotted off and the castings are pitted because it was a boat tractor
Hello, this is a prototype case as my grandad used to be their test and design engineer, on this particular model you have to remove the whole bonnet, there is no hinge, I couldn’t tell you on the production model, if you can’t find a hinge im assuming it’ll be the same as this, ie, remove the bolts around the cab end and then lift off.

What are these like for reliability? Looking at one for using for treework, pulling a tipping trailer and so on..👍
they are really good, we have never had a problem with ours

@@samuelbygrave Tanx, yes it's the same, you'd have thought a mid 90s tractor would have a hinge type bonnet that you could flip up.
