Man, watching you shoot some .22WMR makes me want to go out and buy one again. I had a Marlin 25MN years ago. Won plenty of local matches with it. It had a simple "blister packed" scope on it from Wal Mart back in the mid to late 90s. Bushnell 4-12x40mm Sportview...dang, I miss it.
Good review. Years back I got 2 of the 93R17 heavy barrel. Haven't shot either. Going to look for a review. For the 22mag I have the TX-22. Haven't shot them either. That'll be something cheap to do soon as temps come down. Thanks
😅 yeah the bolt is nearly impossible to work when new, especially the flat blued version. I wound up using scope ring polish and worked the bolt back and forth??? times. It's still not "smooth " but it's good enough for a follow up shot where as before it was just ridiculous.
A crown is at the end of the barrel. It is an inward taper and recesses the end of the rifling. This is to protect the rifling at the end of the barrel
Nice rifle as far as people complaining about the magazine you have to tweak them to work well there's several decent videos on the subject inexpensive rifle with a few quirks
Anhydrous graphite sparingly around anything to do with the bolt will assist with breakin. The graphite will inbed in the stainless and overtime it will actually become self lubricating. Be patient don't over do it
Mine has had issues with loading the first round out of the 5 shot clip. Seems loose. Shoots very accurately though. Any information on the clip would be appreciated
Savage 93 rifles have issues with feeding due to their crappy magazines. Buying a new mag wont fix it . Buy a Ruger American or a CZ 457. For such a great crown, those groups aren't that great.
My Savage 93 with Bishnell scope keeps our garden clear of woodchucks and snoeshoes every summer. Can't beat it for rural back yard varminting.

Ha ha glad I could give you the motivation 🤣. Its such a fun caliber, definitely one of my favorites. Appreciate ya watching buddy.....

Nice Ive seen those rifles shoot very well. Sounds like you need to get out to the range! Thanks for watching.

Great rifle. Great groups. Great shooting. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for sharing this video, I also have a Savage 22 mag model 93 which shoots great, lots of fun! Tell me someone what a "crown" does.

Not bad especially for 110 yds looking to get one
Their a fun rifle for sure. Well worth trying one out. Thanks for watching..
Shot them all pretty well
Thanks for watching!

All savage Rifles including Centerfire love Federal Ammo

Is it just me or does it seem like it doesn’t stabilize the v-max’s very well? Those holes seem very jagged
Yeah they definitely could have been better. Thanks for watching!

Just get a new one. Also the metal clip that the mag slides on make sure its not messed up. Thanks for watching..

@@ValcoBayrunner Cool, thanks for watching.
😂 Some are pretty terrible. Have you reviewed the 22 mag pistol?
Think my Ruger 10/22 will do that good with the right ammo.
Reviewed the pmr30 a while back it was fun. Thanks for watching
Sad to see people getting ripped off when buying the 10/22 when they could have got the savage 64 with the 21 inch barrel for only $100 , lmao
@@milekh6681i own both and the 1022 is far superior it's not even close 🤔
I don't know what it is about a 22 mag but all the ones ive ever had shot better dirty , i never cleaned the barrel on mine.
Yeah I never clean a rimfire barrel lol. Thanks for watching!!
What yardage did you zero your 22wmr at
110yrds thanks for watching.
What power is the scope?
It'd a 6-24x but it's really about a 16 maybe 18x that's usable lol. Thanks for watching
@@TheHide Same with my 6-24 scope. 6-18 is about the only usuable zoom, because you can’t use the rest of the reticle at 24x.
@richrhocks ah yeah I know what you mean there.
? test Winchester 40 gr: HP, SP, and FMJ ?
I've always had better groups with the Win 40gr hollow points.
Can't hear ya!!!
Savage magazines are complete junk ruins the entire expierence!
They do suck... Thanks for watching..
