This is awesome! Thank you for posting this video. I had my diffuser start giving me a "no water" error after a little over a year (no return possible). Being a curious tinkerer who loves Ave videos I decided rip it apart and see what the guts look like lol. I found a bunch of corrosion on one of the main set of wires and this gives me hope that sautering them directly MIGHT get it working... I wish I could keep the crimped connectors just because it makes it easier to take apart, but I suppose it really doesn't matter if it keeps working.
Just kidding... Tested the continuity and those were all fine. I cleaned them up, but it looks like it' might be a bad ultrasonic disc even though it looks brand new. Have you sautered one to the leads? Also, did you figure out how it senses the water is in it? Mine has some sort of spring sautered to the main board that stretches up to a plastic cover underneath the water res, but I can't imagine that would do anything...
in my case when i press the button within 1 sec it turns off...the leds turn on..but immediately as soon the 1st vapor is about to mist ..the machine quickly shuts off..i have left the unit open for 3 days thinking water may have entered ...but still no luck..thanks
Anna Dickson I had same problem. I took it apart brushed the circuit board with a toothbrush. Made sure everything was dry. Once put back together voila it now works. Giver a go! Good luck
I have a gurunandi diffuser. It worked for a month, but now after plugging in a turning on...a few seconds later, the light just blinks. Any suggestions?
no mist at all in my unit but power button works ok.... mist stay inside and no way to have it go up in the tube... my guess is a problem in the little fan... please advice how to fix it... thank you
I'd say the fan is to blame as well. I'd disconnect it and try powering it up from another source, perhaps a 9V battery. If it works then the problem will be on the board. If it doesn't then the fan is at fault and should be replaced.

I accidentally poured hot water in the water container, would that affect the electronic base underneath?
I don't believe it should, unless it was boiling hot...

Did you ever get it working? That's what mine does and I'm thinking it's the ceramic ultrasonic plate, but it looks brand spanking new.
