Michael, I have to admit that I had never heard your music before until I heard "Sound of Sunshine". It's just so hard to believe that more people don't listen to your music. I find your music to be so inspirational and I've been sharing it (your videos) on my site. Please, keep bringing us more music and here's hoping you can bring us a live album soon. Michael (and his wife) are an inspiration... messages of love and healing and the reality of struggle of what it is to be human .... so grateful for this man's authenticity, pouring his heart into music that has united so many of us. When I first listened to his music the word that came to mind was hope......There are so many things I hope for, world peace, the end of famine, oppression, slavery, poverty, stigmatizing marginalized populations, suffering, hating eachother for our differences... The suffering and violence on this planet is so overwhelming... Those of us who so desperately want to make a difference feel small compared to the work that must be done for real and lasting change to take place.. but Michael reminds me to have faith that no matter how small my best intended actions may be they can make a world of difference to someone else. All of us collectively acting from love and kindness can and do change the world. So really this music is about faith for me. This is my church, right here. Thank you Michael Franti, for shining your bright light in the world, and reminding all of us to do the same. Love to you all.
