Great video! This was a really fun concept. To answer your question about the Celsius/fahrenheit thing: (I’m from Sweden) Here we only learnt Celsius and centimeters in school. Fahrenheit and inches were not mentioned in science subjects, though in my school how to convert between Celsius/fahrenheit and centimeters/inches was touched upon briefly in maths.

Hi Pamela, I really enjoyed this trivia questions video as always! Your whisper is very relaxing, but i’m curious if you have you ever made a soft speaking video? I don’t remember one, but it would be cool to see one!
@@pamelaasmr You really stumbled yourself into some surprisingly non-obvious questions for this one: 1. "How many continents are there?" This one really comes down to taste - do you count North/South America as one or two continents? Do you count Europe, Asia, Africa individually, as Eurasia or as Afro-Eurasia? Tectonic plate counting doesn't help either, as you suddenly have a weird Indo-Australian plate which noone would want to comfortably count as its own continent, plus a dozen or so minor plates, plus 1200 or so micro plates. 5. "What do you call Land with water surrounding it on all sides?" Island, sure, but all land is surrounded by water at the end of the day. Except the Svalbard islands which may be fully surrounded by ice. 7. "How many poles does the earth have?" Magnetic, geographic, and geomagnetic poles have two each, so it might be 6? The thing is, your questions are absolutely adequate in the "lies to children"-esque first grade teaching sense - but I do see how it'd drive you nuts if you're in the field.
@@LeoWattenberg The continents one you are just yapping. Everyone knows there are 7. Those are regions you are referring to and we don't use tectonic plates to differentiate the continents

Merriam-Webster:
discover, ascertain, determine, unearth, learn - to find out what one did not previously know
Collins:
If you discover something that you did not know about before, you become aware of it or learn of it
Oxford:
find (something or someone) unexpectedly or in the course of a search.
If there is a hermit living in a cave, and someone stumbles upon him, that person has “discovered” him. It is irrelevant that the hermit himself knew he was there the whole time, since it is the act of revealing what was unknown to the rest of the world that is “discovery”.
