Great assortment of specimens! I've never even heard of most of them, and I'm impressed you were able to identify so many. My question is about your microscope itself: what kind do you have? I've never had much luck with mono or stereo optical scopes, and I've always wanted to try an electronic one with a screen instead. But I'm not sure about how 'true' the image is, and they might be even more expensive than regular optical scopes. Any thoughts?
@@briancurtis6022 Haha thanks, mindat is a powerful website, just know the location and then can go to town on IDing. As for the micrscope question, I have an AmScope SM-1BSX-64S binocular stereo scope. It works pretty well for my needs. I've seen some of those ones with the built in screens on them too but Ive also been iffy about them since Im not sure how customizable they are in terms of lenses and stuff, which to me at least is important.
@@briancurtis6022 Actually lol, that is exactly what I do. Theres a sweetspot a cenitmeter or two right above the lens that allows you too see in quite perfectly. They make special mounts for microscopes/telescopes that you can attach so you can get this angle just right. They also make small cameras that attach right to the lenses but those are a bit pricey so the phone mount is more conveniant
Beautiful thank you for showing me WOW Beautiful...💖💖💖

@@coreymineralguy Interesting. And how do you get the pictures? I can't imagine you just hold up a smartphone to the eyepiece....
