Urmila is one actor who can look sensuous and not vulgar, she’s beautiful, diva, her glass glow skin, lustrous mane, feminine features, effortless. Those were the simple days when even the simplest of costumes and makeup could make such a huge impact like in this one.
She is completely vulgar and cheap. Have you seen her all movies? Specially with ram Gopal Verma. There is a difference between vulgar and boldness. Moreover, she can't act well. She was there to show her body. Nothing else. I just hate her attitude. Same act in every situation.😂😂

Mad love since childhood for this one. My father travelled to India for work once and when he came back all he ever spoke of for the next few months was this film and it's songs. He'd seen it on first day first show and seen it couple more times while there. He explained in vivid memory the frenzie of the Indian people for Rangeela on the streets as he witnessed it firsthand. On his return he repayed the entire story to us over and over until he finally managed to get the video cassette for us. He didn't sleep peacefully till he made us all, me my mom and siblings watch it. He was crazy about it. Urmila is timeless 💚I'm 39 now and my father 74. I just forwarded this to him. He'll be over the moon i know. Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰💚
The combination of Evergreen Asha Bhosle,, Urmila, Jackie shroff and off course AR Rahman is just lethal, mind blowing. This kind of unique combination is solely missing in today's Bollywood!!!
I agree with you on Asha, A.R Rahman and off course Urmila. But seriously, what exactly did Jackie Shroff do in this song that a random guy off the street can’t do?
Still a masterpiece. No one can beat this song in everyway. From music to cenemetography to costume to dance to color correction to location and specially urmila Matondkar milestone that no one can achive.
Notice how different Asha ji sounds in the two songs she sang for this movie (Rangeela Re and this). She captures perfectly the bubbly, naive ingenue version of the character in that song, and here she sounds more mature, more adult, just like the character at this stage. Simply amazing!

The dynamic range in a lot of A R Rahman’s music is far well-tuned for the era of radio and cassette tapes. Rahman’s music was far ahead of its time. A lot of modern day bollywood songs aren’t this well-calibrated.

I admire her. But let's stop being blind follower. In this song her old age voice is simply unbearable. Listen carefully to those chorus girls in this song. How sweet they are sounding as compared to Ashaji. One of them should have sung this actually.
The combination for this song.. Music... Singer... Actors.. Director... Camera.. was made in 1995... I do not think anyone in the current gen would make it look that great..
Music of AR rehmann is out of world,,flute tabla ,violin ,etc all can be heard and so beautifully merged with other music instrument,no music director can match , todays music is just loud ,bass wala ❤❤
My reaction is exactly like Jackie Shroff while watching Urmila in this song, I am mesmerized and in awe of her beauty, excellent capture by RGV, he was so much ahead of his time......
This movie was ahead of its time because of Its dances, Photography, Music, Direction, story telling, lights, costumes. A R Rahman got introduce to bollywood, Dance director who was assistant to saroj khan got opportunity, Manish Malhotra the fashion designer got opportunity as his boss was not there in India. Like wise few assistant directors, actors. Ram Gopal Varma definitely was on hit list than because there about 12 movies which could not be released as this movie took away the screens, audience mind and thought of movie was stolen to a greater extent. That other parallel movie halted their release for few months and few for a year as they didnt want to incur losses. Best part is, everybody got attracted to Rangeela Ra song but there were other songs too which could`nt be seen with family. So technically the DD channels, V TV, MTV, AXN, Zee tv were turned off when other songs use to come. Boys who were in school and colleges liked it but because of fear of parents and siblings, it used to be turned off. I wish to go back to 90s if God grants a wish.
1:57 - 2:17 flute ❤️ No matter how vulgar this song was considered for its time, it's still the first where a man loves and celebrates his woman's feet like her face! Never imagined in 1995 that this song would give me a pleasant bass thumping in a wireless headphone after 26 years
Also Listen to Chandralekha from Tiruda tiruda.
The dynamic range in a lot of A R Rahman’s music is far well-tuned for the era of radio and cassette tapes. Rahman’s music was far ahead of its time. A lot of modern day bollywood songs aren’t this well-calibrated.
The bass in this is super fine!
Bit song rabi👌🎶🤖
This is an amazing experience altogether on AirPods Max with spatial audio
Here's an ode to the greatest song ever produced. This song will outlast generations and will keep blowing minds for decades. Hats off to the producers for this masterpiece you guys have made human civilisation peak.
Everyone here mentioned music of A R Rahman ,
But everyone ignored these extraordinary Shorts 🙌
Some frame are outstanding .
For those who still listening it in 2022....AR Rahman's sir composition is always being fab and rare...no one can beat him as music director... hariharan sir is also fab and Fantastic...🎉💯❤
Really masterpiece.. outstanding voice asha bhosle jhi ..❣️🇲🇾
Such a refreshing number. Beach vibes, cool fresh air....you feel it all...AR Rahman gave such a gem. Absolutely an evergreen melody.❤
Ashaji is conferred upon maharastra Bhushan award !!!! So late recognition of such phenomenal voice !!!! Absolutely no words the way she has sung this beautiful song which will be evergreen always !!! Missed those days where music, songs were amazing and ofcourse Mr AR Rahman who still rocks by his soulful music !!!!
26 years later, nothing beats AR Rahman's bollywood debut.
But bollywood is not giving chance in recent years due to nepotism in bollywood.
Roja was Bollywood Debut for Ar Rehman and not Rangeela
True....
@J M you missed Raanjhanaa
@J M welcome... We love AR Rahman ❤️
Hard to imagine this music more than 25 yrs bak..all applauds to AR Rehman
Listen THIRUDA THIRUDA ❤️❤️❤️
Music of AR rehmann is out of world,,flute tabla ,violin ,etc all can be heard and so beautifully merged with other music instrument,no music director can match , todays music is just loud ,bass wala ❤❤
My reaction is exactly like Jackie Shroff while watching Urmila in this song, I am mesmerized and in awe of her beauty, excellent capture by RGV, he was so much ahead of his time......
ARR is blessed by God! After so many years, this song and the sounds are awesome!
Rangeela ❤ Such A Trendsetter it was …!!! Magic of ARR , Udit ji & Chitra Chechi 🥰👌
Childhood memories 90s kids only realize the importance this song
MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES I LOVE THIS SONG
👍👍👍

World Class Music By ..
Mr. A. R. Rahman Sir ..
❤❤
Even ARR can't recreate this music magic❤️
If Roja was “off the wall” then Rangeela was AR Rahman’s “Thriller” album.. it changed the music industry
and then the so-called" Bollywood" industry treated our very own rahman sir as a Pariah....ludicrous ...
26 years later, nothing beats AR Rahman's bollywood debut.
Correct I think that's the reason he was most wanted music director in bollywood
R u sure??? Listen THIRUDA THIRUDA...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
@@mahesharistoyes 100% well said..... the big thunder launched and broken the style of indian music 💥💥

Missed this gem in my teens
I don't see any album 28yrs later sounding fresh as it was..............
Hai rama, mukabla, urvashi.... Amazing ......
Can climb number 1 on chart
Flute played at the start of the song is mind blowing..☺️
Cinema did teach our men to love though! I wish Kollywood made such scenes much earlier. Anyways thanks to Gowtham Menon for today's men!
Yes, the flute piece , even if you listen to it by itself, you'll know it's this son
Absolutely
i was 14 when this song came out, my pants would get tight every time i would watch it on tv.
Jackie has this great sense of clothing❤ wht a simple style❤
3:26 iconic stance.
3:51 cult worthy dance steps
It has been 26 years, and still the heart (and god knows what else) goes dhak dhak.
AR REHMAN YAAR TU TO HAY MAYRI JAN LOVE FROM 🇵🇰 The Music you produce man it feels like coming straight from Heaven
Blessed to be born as Tamilzhan .ARR and Maestro greatest gift .
Urmila was a doll baby ❤️❤️
This song was a perfect mixture childish and sensuous expressions 😍
Everlasting..A.R.Rahman's..magical piece
She was 21 when this song was shoot, many actress started their journey at same age in bollywood, no actress can match her vibe and appeal ever at that age
