I love this back in the day and spent hours trying to open all the doors to play the music. I found my copy a couple months ago and was sad I couldn’t play it anymore. So it went to Goodwill. Now I wish I had sold it on EBay. 😢 Thank you for the memories
Dude i call myself a Prince fanatic, one of the best if not the best to ever do it. I always shock people when i tell them that Prince's song "loose!" is in a video game called "Tekken 1" the chicago theme. Every time i spill this fact to a Prince fan around my age they freak out! i always feel like i knew so much but never knowing this game existed makes me feel fake lol. This was such a great video man, i hope you do a video on the Prince comic books. Proud to subscribe 😌
My Husband bought me this cd rom that was a computer game BUT I had no clue how to get out of the foyer , I also knew nothing about computers. I tried to press buttons and get in2 another room, I think I got down a hall way. I NEVER DID figure it out.. NEVER saw a video... It was a VERY new concept for the times and in home computers were a very new thing.. I didn;t have a clue what I was doing.
I was deeply into Prince at this time, so I knew about the game but never played it...I did however have a lovely hot chocolate in the cafe upstairs in His Camden shop!!!
This was also the era of his work I was more of an active fan in (89-95) I remember seeing the Beautiful Experience movie and at the time was hard getting all the songs cause they were scattered on various albums. My cousin had this game and remember him showimg me. Didnt one of his albums have some interactive feature to it if you played it on a pc? (I might be thinking of Marilyn Mansons Mechanical animals album)
@@RetroRecollections ah that's cool. I think maybe Rave 2 the joy fantastic? (Got the cd but don't have a pc any more that has a cd drive) so can't test it :P
US fan here. I bought the game new at CompUSA, a now-defunct computer chain. Still have it and it sits with the rest of my Prince CD collection because of the song on the disc. I did pull the game assets out (images, Quicktime movies, sound clips) so I'd have an archive.
Wonderful! I tried to find information on the distribution, where and how it was sold, but details were hard to find. I'm fairly sure not huge amounts were made and even today not many are on eBay etc. Thanks for sharing! 😀
On behalf of Prince fans everywhere... Thank you!
Thanks for watching! :)

To be fair, he had the coolest hat and guitars ever! ... apparently, he could play well too!
Oh yes indeed! 👍
I had this game back in high school and explored it for hours. Good memories...

I like how the little red corvette model played a jingle. Very cute.
Yes it's a nice touch 😁
Like a little music box 🎶
I thought this game was some random fever dream I had hahaha. We got it as a package with some new hardware, and it blew my mind
6:55 I really want that little red corvette model now lol

I can't recall an album with an interactive feature but the disc for this game when put into a CD player had an audio track, an edit of "Interactive".

Such a well put together video and good material. Lots of effort. Earned an easy sub here
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Retro Recollections shared it twice :)

I had no Idea about this CD-Rom or even Glam Slam Ulysses :-O
Such a gem 💎
I used to play this game it was dope
I still have mine 😊🎵
I remember seeing this in my dad's CD collection and thought it looked cool but never got it to run
I think it was designed to run on Windows 3.1 - I ended up using the Mac version and emulating and old MacOS 9 on Windows 10 to run it! 🙈
@@RetroRecollections yeah we had a windows 3.1 computer when I was a kid but for some reason this never ran on our system 🤷♂️
Ready Player Two brought me here.
I'd love to see that book get to the big screen with all the Prince references intact but I don't know if that would happen.
I remember my aunt had this when I was a teenager. He really was ahead of his time!
I did play this!
I still have my copy
Nice!
good times
Hey in your video, what royalty free music track did you use in the beginning of your video?
If I remember correctly it was called "Minneapolis" in the RUclips Audio Library.
Retro Recollections okay thank you
