My uncle has lived outside of McPherson since the 70s , I remember when I went to hutch trinity we played canyon/galva in sports , when I was a freshman. Hot/Cold water tower good memory, Happy Thanksgiving 🦃! God bless you !
🎉(sounds of cheering)🎉 This was just SO GREAT!!!! That opening drone shot was just beautiful - driving that road is breathtaking, but the aerial view is next level!!! I've been to Canton many times, but not to Galva, so now I'm curious to go there, too - it looks like a great little place, too! I do believe they share a newspaper, which is cool - I grabbed a copy one time and it talked about the sports teams, etc., and I think one of the ladies who runs the antique store / tearoom we go to said it's a (six-man? eight-man?) team - which I intend to go see next season, I've never seen football with anything except 11 players. I think the only thing Canton lacks at the moment is a grocery store. I love that the basis of this video was the Santa Fe Trail - underscores that every little place started where it did for a reason, which is always interesting, and learning about it never gets old. That DGR at the end - 😲 Thank you Coach Wise!!! 🙏☺☺☺
Happy Thanksgiving, John. I liked this short little trip to McPherson County. And just as I thought you found not just one but two different types of go arounds. Happy trails to you and God bless.
This is just north of my home in Newton. People watching who think Kansas is a "drive-through" state and that the scenery is boring should take notice of how big the sky is in this flat landscape. Thanks for this view of my area of Kansas!
Yeah, out into the real world! Have always loved the country, and I guess this old Iowa farm boy always will. At least we know that Canton is modern, knowing they have the luxury of hot and cold running water! Sorry, I couldn't resist. The death go rounds were great. And I have wondered when you would start running into some of the "overhead" type go'rounds. There were many types, but they were for the venturous riders, and the safety reasons have probably been the downfall of many. I was glad you have at least found this one. Keep coming north on the Santa Fe, and you will end up back here in Nebraska again. Although you did cover Ogallala once before, and hit upon that city's history with the trail. Thanks for another mighty fine trip out in the wilderness! And I hope you have a pleasant holiday.
Hey Coach. Nice farmland out there. The Hot and the Cold towers are certainly unique. Good Drone. Spin machine 1 ran @ a default because of the shaky spin finish. We here @ the N. E. maritime location for such cannot issue forth with a safety concern element factor, thus we cannot rate such a device........Spin 2 ,a rare find and apparently an orbital pioneer in a ride setting way, We here @ the center, after running the data,.......issue forth with a rating of 10, An extra care in pre ride mind set is advised.Good Thanksgiving and a tip of the proverbial hat for locating such a rare attraction, walk on, head held high.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Nice quick video. Enjoy your day!!
Thanks! You too!
You can still see ruts in the trail outside Dodge City on the Arkansas River!
Very cool - I think I went there when I did US 50 last year!
aslo in southern Rice County
