Tombstoner Forever Zoom and Prometheus are both just as cool in the comics; they might even be better than there tv counterparts. But they change was better for the show. Zoom is more of a Wally West villain and Prometheus is a Batman/JLA villain
He's not an adaptation of the future flash, completely different backstories, moralities and motivations. Only thing that's similar is that they have blue lightning and are from the future. He's an original character
Neron is one of Constantine's main adversaries in the comics. He is also very comic accurate with his overall persona, especially being a Trump-like figure.
I agree that Reverse Flash is very comic book accurate, but if you didn't count the Harrison Wells part of him than you should've done it for all characters. For example the Thinker. You said that he's inaccurate because of the bus meta portion, but that was just to fit the storyline as the Harrison Wells was as well. Love your vids and I hate to be that guy. This is like an FYI.
Shades Games 2 things 1. He sometimes appears as the normal Eobard (due to scheduling issues the actor can’t make it sometimes). 2. Harrison Wells, is just a face. The RF backstory remains the same, where he wanted to be like the Flash, but the Flash saw his wrongdoings and locked him up. I agree he should’ve counted it, but after Season 1, he acts like the normal Reverse Flash.
Fun Fact: Since the Arrowverse took from Ricardo Diaz's New 52 character, they have no idea that before the New 52, Ricardo, or as he was originally named "Richard Dragon", was actually a good guy and he WAS the world's greatest martial artist in the DC Universe. Also, he had no connection to the Green Arrow before New 52.
As a long time fan of zoom i really like the new outfit, the old outfit was too much like reverse flash, i hope the comics bring him back and have a suit similar to the cw tv show
Personally I think Damien Darhk was changed for the better, but I think he was just simply not the best villain choice for the more realistic Arrow show. If only they had made him have no powers and more of a crime boss, that would be much better
I just realised by the 2015-2016 portion of the arrowverse onwards, the Writers went f*ck it when it comes to comic accuracy of the villains. All the villains before then were mostly comic accurate
Likely because you didn't expect them to be as good as they were. Prometheus, Savitar, and Zoom are some of the best villains in the entire Arrowverse, and to make them that way the writers had to ditch a lot of stuff from the comics. I'm fine with that, considering what we got in the end.
I think that the reason many of these villains are so inaccurate to their comic book counterparts is to make them more grounded and realistic (except damien) so that they could fit within these shows.
A few nitpicks, sorry: I love Tom Cavanaugh as Thawne, but I never read where Thawne mentored Barry or used Barry to his own ends in any comic. And Lex has had facial hair, hell he even has long flowing hair looking like Grizzly Adams in some comics. now Yes they were clones but, they filled in for Lex.
Prometheus and Cicada adaptations are really cool. Zooms costume change to black was definitely for the better, he scary as duck. Same with Savitars costume looks epic. And it can also be explained why the villains are different, they came from another world so they aren't the same villain as in the comics?
It appears the villains in the Arrowverse had precognitive super powers no one ever pointed out. They were wearing face masks long before it became damn near the daily norm with the arrival of the coronavirus this year!
You forgot to add the tattoos on Diaz, I wish that the thinker would be a A.I. And go the sonic SATam path and regin was definitely inspired from Smallville's doomsday
As much as I love Arrowverse Deathstroke, and I get where you’re coming from, But I do take issue with the whole eye thing and Joey being in Jackel. Jackel was the group that robbed Joey of hid voice which directly lead to Adeline (Slade’s ex-wife) shooting his eye out. Not to mention he never killed William Wintergreen. They were actually good friends starting from when they were in the military. That is what I find pretty comic inaccurate about him. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that this was a likable representation and fits the Arrowverse and is pretty in character outside of that. However, that was something that kind of bothered me. Mirakuru being an equivalent to the experimental drug given to him in the military, which I’m fine with.
Reverse Flash/Thawne did seem to have 1 ability stripped away (at least from as far as I watched) - which is that in the comics he generally is immune to small alterations in time, hence why he can fight Barry and not erase his own timeline. But significant changes can cause issues which is why he can’t just kill Barry.
all the deathstroke changes were better than the original...i hate now that I can't watch other deathstroke interpretations and wish that it was like in arrow.
Flash only had one accurate villain, but I get why the rest were changed, I just want Earth-1 Hunter Zolomon to become the comic book accurate Zoom, but with a different costume because he looks like a Reverse Flash wannabe
Some characters like Zoom, Prometheus, Reign, Thinker and Savitar were improved from the comics, Zoom was the most badass villain, Prometheus is the best one, Reign was stronger, Thinker was a better character as he was given a plan and Savitar has the best suit while in the comics he was just shirtless

So changing RF’s origin is accurate? In the comics, he didn’t create the flash with the particle accelerator, he didn’t take on a whole different persona, he didn’t train Barry, almost everything about him after he killed Barry’s mom is almost completely different 🤦🏽♂️
It's not his origin tho, at that point he had been fighting the Flash for years. The point he tried to make was that it's the same character in a new story. When the Reverse Flash comes back for new stories in the comics, no one calls him inaccurate just because he hasn't been through that same exact story before.
