I learned to play so many instruments and had my mind opened to so much amazing talent. I'm still in awe at 36 years old that music like this can give me chills and move me to tears. If you put the choir in the orchestra room it would be very difficult to record some instruments. Choirs are too powerful. I don't believe they are in another room, I think they are recorded separately. I'm not sure the sound of the video is the actual live sound of the orchestra in the video, I think what you hear is the final mixing put over the video of the orchestra.

Some parts are sampled or pre-recorded. They are then played over the live orchestra recording.
They are in a separate room adjacent to the instruments
