- In this episode, we get talking to Rob Bartlett of Bartlett Contractors in southern England, on their 'second' harvester, the Fendt Katana 85. We also get chatting about their collection of Fendt tractors and their mower choice. Bartlett Contractors Ltd is owned and run by both Rob and his sister Tina and since filming this episode of GRASSMEN TV, they went on to win Farmers Weekly Contractor of the Year Award in 2015. We hope to catch up again with them shortly, but in the meantime stay tuned for more footage coming very soon!

none of them sounded thrilled with the fendt. not many people are honest enough to say they regret buying a machine that they've just spent thousands on. Bought it cos he got a deal on it, which is probably the only way fendt can sell them. Breaking into the forager market ain't easy.
Could be trying to be modest about his machinery either?

1.1 gallon a acre diesel? not much change over time, had a 1992 k plate claas 690 1 gallon acre got a 2001 y plate nh fx58 1 gallon acre. great film yet again lads keep up the good work.

We run fendts and they are a brilliant tractor

When are JCB going to build something to compete with these, and in which lucky town will they be built? Big Larrington looked the part all painted.
Still think it would be nice to see JCB's doing the complete forage and harvest package, get them loaded on the docks, come on team GB.
In fairness, a JCB FH would be a beauty!

Sorry to sound like a total non-farmer here!
But if the joystick is for the forwards and backwards movement of the Fendt Katana 85. Why do you have the ormal foot pedals as a normal non-joystick tractor or combine etc. have?
Seems odd to have both there if the new way is to use a joystick to move them!
I have the farming simulator 2015 and all these amazing machines are done exactly in look and movements that the real ones are.
But I still don't understand this movement control due thing?
In the game when you drive forwards in one of the machines like a combine or your Katana type there is the movements of the joystick as you drive along but also there is the normal petals like a car would have if it was a manual type!
So very odd indeed?

Goddamit-FENDT "KARATE"!🤦HESSTON was a dam good Product-Especially in Forage Harvesters-New Holland should have overtaken HESSTON but they didn't allow them by the "Kartellamt". What Agco made out of HESSTON an Original American Brend makes Me "mad"!!! Aja...There's much Bullshit that happend in Farmtec Industrie since the 90's...Sad-That's just sad!!!
Are locale contractor has just had a fendt and had problem after problem with it
Burstock Beef my best friend has fendt 308 ci worst problem was worn brakes which was couple months ago the brakes where the ones from when it was new and their main tractor very reliable machine think it depends on machine one has many problems other one is lucky.
Every tractor has a forward and reverse gears . What are you on about?????? Doh!!!!!
