  • It took me 2 years of locksport before I decided to buy these tools and wish I'd got them sooner. Great tools to have and they come if very handy to prevent having to saw cylinders in half to see the insides.

5:20 Those are massive spool pins! Haven't gotten a lock like that yet.

A friend printed out a couple of front followers for me, and I have to admit they made me happier than two pieces of plastic probably should..
Before I had them, I was using the pinning shoe to do the job, which was fidgety and often ended in an auto-gutting incident.

Yeah, I've used just the shoe a few times. Makes for an even fiddlier job! 😁👍🏻

I have a few pinning shoes but can't find front followers anywhere & I have no 3D printer equipped contacts, so for now it's a case of sawing in half or do the pinning shoe plus tweezers dance.

That is a very fiddly job! Works ok with some cylinders but impossible with others!

@@Dmaclocksport It is indeed, particularly if fitting varying length drivers & varying tensions of springs using just the narrow arm of the shoe to hold the little blighters down. How I've not yet lost an eyeball is a miracle...
