Lived in Savannah for five years. Had a wonderful time. It gets SO HOT in the summer, but it’s very comfortable the rest of the year. Beautiful city. Lots to do.

Wow! The River ,oops quite green there at the end! Love Savannah, and yes, the food is a big reason. Check architecture is great, andcpeople very friendly. It and Charleston are two of my favorite cities anywhere.
One of the many things I dislike most while watching these types of videos are the artificial inflections and raised voices. It’s not like that with this video. I love your relaxed and calm voice. It’s pleasant. Instead of you standing out above all and drawing attention to yourself, I am drawn to into the subject, Savannah, and I just relaxed and enjoyed. Thank you!
Thank you for the tour of Savannah. I wish more people would do this for various cities all over the nation. I want to move out of a very cold state but I am not able to travel everywhere I might want to move. So these types of videos help a great deal and give me a general idea for the city.
LOL. I used to drive down there from Beaufort when I was stationed there in the mid 1970's. That waterfront was a nasty place then. The highlight there was a jiggle joint - "Hard Hearted Hannah's?" :D
I'm from Montreal Canada, I'm looking forward to get my Canadian citizenship so I can work in Savana some years in the near future. I'd love to know that beautiful place.
So you were not born in Canada, you’ve received all of the immigrant benefits that Canadians pay for, you’re going to become a citizen so you can work in the US? Why didn’t you emigrate to the USA instead of Canada?
Paula is a transplant she doesn't have a trace of Georgia in her accent. Real southerners everywhere still have the accent. The South is overrun with transplants who displace the natives. Charleston, S.C is the most beautiful city in the Southern U.S.
Hi I am gonna travel to there on the March. Would recommend to take a taxi at the night to go around? I mean is that safe or not. Pls let me that later. Thx
Wiley’s is not the best barbecue in Savannah. Sandfly Barbecue is easily the best. Read Yelp, Trip Advisor, etc. and see, them try it. The Sandfly location is my preference, but the also have a newer location downtown
I'm glad you said this. Too many of these tour videos never mention that black people did all the work of building those beautiful homes, wrought iron, and tabby paving stones that are common in west Africa.
There were definitely plantation slaves and house servant slaves in Savannah during Oglethorpe’s time ... In fact, Wormsloe Plantation, the first and oldest piece of privately owned land in the United States, itself had slaves and was gifted directly to Wormsloe by Oglethorpe himself. Not sure how you’ve thought there were no slaves there in the founding years. There definitely were.
@@InnerVisions68 Todd, shut your white guilt ridden-ass the fuck up. And I can't very well be a sob when I'm a daughter, now can I? Dumbass! Considering I'm black, I think I am qualified to speak on black issues.
San Francisco has a HUGE homeless population. Savannah like other cities across America has homeless people, but Savannah is so much more than "that"! Like anywhere you go, you have to be observant & pay attention to your surroundings & ask ppl. from there where it's safe to go & where it is not, at night, particularly. I was born in Sav'h., and lived my life there in the area until I went to college. I'm sure that you could ask the concierge service at a local hotel questions regarding safety- they would be more than happy to help you. I have never had a problem even late at night in the historic area, but I probably wouldn't take a midnight stroll alone. But then, I wouldn't do that anywhere anymore! It's not smart.🥰

My lovely hometown. Nicely captured
Shared on my blog that centers on historic southern homes and the inspiration we used to build a replica of such a home
You captured Savannah beautifully! I'd love to share this on my networks. Savannah is my favorite place!

There is a lot more to see than this. You could spend weeks here and still miss something.
She`s been two WHOLE Years, WOW! I`ll take Charleston,SC in every way over Savannah especially with food & friendliness of the people.
Having been to both I take Savannah, people were alot nicer than Charleston
What music are you using? It is wonderful.

Another fact is that these ballast stones on River Street were laid by hand, by enslaved African people. It’s beautiful, but came with a price.
I'm glad you said this. Too many of these tour videos never mention that black people did all the work of building those beautiful homes, wrought iron, and tabby paving stones that are common in west Africa.
I do believe Oglethorpe didn’t allow slavery in his colony, so if they were laid during his time, then you’re completely wrong.
