It's nice to hear player stations haven't been forgotten, but I'm afraid on your conclusion I have to disagree. I will make a full response video later if I feel like it, but there are valid counterpoints to most of the things you brought up that should be raised. Thanks for getting the dialogue rolling, in any case!
how do you imgaine a dyson sphere possibly hiding? dyson sphere literally means it should be bigger than the star meaning itll be the biggest structure in the system, also why would you be scared of dyson sphere? are you usually scared of generators? probably not, then what threat does this type of generator posess?
@@akioaoki8727 fair point, I'd obviously firstly be scared, but Dyson spheres not usually appearing *suddenly* they are giant, you'll probably see it the moment you enter the star system
Having your own cozy outpost in the middle of nowhere is such a good idea, you sit at your habitation deck and see your people walking around and ships going to your station making you stonks from tax seems fun
Player tycoons are still a very beneficial idea, the positives absolutely dwarf the negatives, and while i agree with some of the things you were saying, some of the problems you brought up really arent that much of an issue, there will always be a risk travelling through wild, especially when using wormholes, there can always be a massive enemy fleet on the other side, but i get your idea, permanent groups of people can just sit in a section of wild space and completely control it, so, ive thought of a solution. first, obviously, only one station per system, kinda a given. second, making stations destructable, regardless of fuel. So, fuel would still be a thing, and you would still need to fuel your station, but you would do that via "shield generators" that the owner of the station get to place, you need a minimum of 1 to run your stations invulnerability shield, and you can buy up to 3. you can chose to hide these generators wherever you want out in space, at any planet, including rings, however, you will not be able to spawn them at anomalies and aberrations. these generators would be destructable, and would not be targetted by npcs, similar to faction warfare generators. however, they would only be able to be attacked if the owner of the station is online, this makes it so people cant just wait until 3AM and then just murder your hyper-expensive station. also, the owner of the station would instantly be notified the moment one of his generators came under fire. upon the destruction of all generators, the station becomes destructable, it would probably have a lot of health, giving the owner time to defend, but it would mean that these giant clusters of player stations could be cleared out by a well-organized fleet.
@@hypotheticalneutronstar I'm thinking they'd have a sort of warp around, to points of interest or stable points. Other than that, it's completely stationary.
the moment i see u can print money out of thin air, i lost hope. i was hoping it to be more like a fortress used as a base to assert almost complete control over a system.

Imagine invading a random player station on wilds and then a massive Dyson Sphere emerges from behind the star... hahahahaha

but 1 station per system with limited amount of systems means...
@@trgyfhgnt3 secure/contested systems could be different
they could use the ancient gates as a mechanic to take us to a new region, where we colonize with the stations.
barely anyone could get a station if its 1 per system
Secure systems would allow unlimited stations, with the downside of coresec tax, unsec will have a higher limit as well, wild is one per system
Nice video, really nice seeing starscape videos starting to be made again and its nice that its not just pirating clips
i hate player pirating from the bottom of my heart❤

real
I don't play that game since 4 years ago, so basically where is my player station?
I think it would actually moreso work as a secure economic zone within a trade faction or the center systems.

No, they’re towed back to secure
