Sorry, meant to do a few more of these. Work got in the way (it does that sometimes). I'll see about making and uploading another one in the near future.
Sono un novellino, ho ricevuto il mio laser pochi giorni fa. Potresti spiegarmi o fare un video su come posso accendere il laser per vedere dov'è posizionato e fare il frame del progetto? Proprio non mi riesce...
I have just downloaded the laserweb software. Thanks for this "how to get started" tutorial intro. Is there any chance of the other follow up tutorials, ie about raster images?
Thanks for the video man found this the most easy to sit back and chill and listen to...have been having an issue where the lines between cuts, like the greyed out line from the hole to the rectangle on this vid, is being cut. Though I might have found the answer in your next vid but guess you havent had time yet so was hoping you might be able to troubleshoot whats going on?!
Those gray lines are travel which (as you already guessed) should not be cut. Possible causes of this are: 1) The gcode to turn off the laser during travel is not correct or is being corrupted, 2) The circuit controlling the laser is having issues (I don't know what your setup looks like, so I can't really help you there), 3) Laserweb isn't generating the gcode correctly, or 4) You forgot to configure which flavor of gcode to generate. I haven't had a chance to get to a second video and may not for a few months yet :/ Crunch time at work keeps me rather busy. If it helps at all, my next videos were going to be on raster engraving (ie grey-scale images) and using inkscape + Laserweb for mechanical prototyping.
Nevermind, just had to look at the Github page to figure out it does. Awesome! have been sick of using Inkscape. Now can straight load my files from AI/Solidworks/Autocad into Laserweb and onto my laser!
try to select generic grbl machine from settings and hit apply, or save the g code and check the for M03 Sxxx; S1000 is usually 100% power. M05 stops the laser . or try to find a profile for your machine online ...maybe it's available
Thank you for this tutorial! I've never been able to make my machine move, but now its smooth sailing!
I'm looking forward to part 2 of the series!

@@AustinSteingrube cool!
I am migrating from engraving to the laser. How can I enable/disable the laser mode in Laserweb?
Great Video Thanks! I can't wait for my first Laser cutter to come in! ;)
Nice tutorial, clear and direct explanation, thanks a lot.

Thanks. This is a great overview. Very helpful. Very much like the sound of this software over Laser GRBL..

Thanks for creating this video. Looking forward to further topics. :)

@@AustinSteingrube Cheers man I had gcode issues in my initial setup, sorted!
part 2 was really helpful
Thank you,Very Useful
Thanks for the tutorial! But I can't find the second part I've just start to use the software so these would be very helpful for me
i guess it is quite randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to stream new tv shows online?
@Matthias Damon i use flixzone. Just google for it :)
I was wondering if I can import DXF files with this software?

hi, i have a 3d printer with marlin, the program dont do nothing, because "unknow command M2"
can you please help me ?
M2 is "Program End" but is not supported by Marlin. reprap.org/wiki/G-code#M2:_Program_End
just remove it from the end gcode
Which firmware do I select for mach3?
I'm afraid I don't know. You'll have to play around and see if you can find one that works. If you find out, let us know so others can benefit too :)
Thanks a lot bro
I have a Eleksmaker Mana board, but I cant connect to it. Anyone having problems?

find:setting→gcode→gcode before path .And add M03 S1000 in it.Don't forget to add M05 into gcode after path to turnoff laser
