Hi Shelley it can be really tempting to skip skincare when it's cold and you're shattered, but if you have makeup and spf it needs to come off. A cleansing oil or cream that doesn't leave residue and a dab of moisturiser is a minimal routine that only takes a few minutes. My best advice is to do your skincare prior to sitting on the couch or whatever when you're relaxing at the end of the day. It's so much easier doing it then even if it's a few hours before bed. Skincare plus pyjamas and relax. Then when you're desperate for your bed it's fine to just fall into it😂😂. Huda shade range isn't usually light enough for me and seems fairly yellow overall (I am ultra pale and cool toned). I also never have success with satin or matte as I am super dry. It's a really good shade match on camera and looks great on you. Best wishes x
Same for me, the Fenty has been my favorite. I like the Huda as well, it is definitely not any more blurring than any other foundation, but I like its longevity. But for sure less is more for me.
@ I haven’t tried the Dior stick yet, I have been loving the Lancôme stick foundation. I do have to prep my skin but during winter I have to do that anyway, so it’s not anything different than normal. When I use up the 4 I have in rotation I might try it. Right now I’m using the Huda, UD Face Bond, Maybeline Skin Tint and the newest Fenty with the Lancôme splashed in. I think I might need to use these before I get anything else 😂😂
I hear you, here in the UK gets dark at 4:30pm, it’s so depressing! I hate this time of the year, I wish I could sleep through it and wake up in spring 😂

Thanks for this review Shelley! My top foundations in rotation for my super dry winter skin is the Huda, Urban Decay Face Bond, Maybeline Skin Tint and the Fenty foundation that came out this year ! For me and my 10+ hour days the longevity these give me is perfect along with the coverage.

I hear you about washing your face. If I've been in the house all day, not doing anything dirty it's very tempting to use one of my Neutrogena facial wipes. I have them and some basic skin care in my night stand. Thankfully my skin doesn't complain too loudly.

The Loreal infalliable Matte Cover, didn't irritate my rosacea and layers well with spf, longwear in summer, and for me stayed put on my rosey chin. Huda seems similarly matte, blurring but a thinner consistency.

I've been wearing the Rohto gel sunscreen a ton since it started getting dry out. ystyle.co/kvdq I use either Korean sunscreens like this one or the European versions I buy when I'm in Ireland. I also love the Purito sunscreens.
Is there any chance you could try the new Sarah Creal Concealer/Foundation product? The line was created for women over 40. The concealer is to be used as a foundation too. Would love to hear your thoughts on that product. 😁
Hi Shelly, thanks for the video! And thanks for mentioning the niacinamide in the product. It's a beneficial ingredient, but as you mentioned, if you're already using skin care with it, you may not want to use a foundation that also includes it. There are 2 other ingredients in the product that are not good, specifically, zinc sulfate, a preservative that can irritate the skin, and phenylpropanol, a fragrant preservative. Apparently phenylpropanol is often used as a masking fragrance in cosmetics. These ingredients are pretty far down the ingredients list, so there isn't much in the product, but those of us with sensitive skin (me) may want to skip this one.

Well, if it’s a bit dry for you, I know it will be really drying on my extremely dry face. 😢. I’m beginning to think I have dermatitis on my face as it’s peeling everywhere. I wash my face and can rub lightly and my skin start balling up every where on my face 🤷🏼♀️ what do you think? I only use Tret 1-2 / week. I’m so done with it. It’s just not worth it if that’s what it is. And I apply hydrating serums on and a hydrating moisturizer; wait 1-2 hrs before applying Tret. Yet still peel. But I’m thinking it’s something else? I’ve been using the Osmosis Catalyst 11 a few times a week, other than that that’s the only thing that changed and I did 5 layers of TCA13 peel two wks ago, so my face should not be doing this. 😢. Doing 7 skins with a hydrating toner every day is the only thing that seems to save me when my skin does this. Every 7-8 weeks I get peel-y and shed like a snake 🤣
