TFC let me just say I love how you something from nothing it coming on so well there people out there like me how would pay a lot of money for something well built like that keep pushing king TFC I need that Merchandise
Man ! You’re going to have to climb inside that thing when it’s time to rescape, grab stuff, etc ! Reaching into my 240 gallon 8x2x2 is hard enough lol ! Definitely build more big plywood tanks !
lol. Facts. I really am. Hopefully I don’t need to rescape it often 😅 and you already know I’m about to be Mr. Build it when it comes to these plywood tanks. Lol
Hay bro, you are doing a hell of a job! Appreciate you walking us step by step on this! Going to build my own soon and will definitely be following your steps! Hope they work and glad your doing it first 😂, so I know the do’s and don’t! 👍🏾💯✌🏾🐠
Thats looking awesome man! Been absent for a bit, catching up on whats been going on in the fish corner. Cant wait to see what beasts are in this thing!
Hey buddy you did a video on feeding your red pike fish in that video you have a fish in that tank you call sunny what kind of fish is that. Can't wait till you get done building this huge monster dream tank bro you have true skill
Tip Glue every single point of contact with waterproof wood glue, corner seams, stud contact points, joint seams. The addition of glue brings the strength of woodworking to the next level besides the added benefit of the first step in waterproofing
Yes wood glue is stronger has a longer open time with silicone you have to work quickly plus the wood glue is formulated to penetrate the wood fiber and bond its cheaper in bulk and they make special types for waterproof also any silicone on your plywood may cause adhesion problems with your next waterproofing step hopefully fiberglass then epoxy
It's looking great and the young man is getting big i can't wait to see it if it's anything like your first pond? It's gonna come together really nice that's for them trolls Check that pond out enjoy your week and be safe
@@TheFishCorner with that volume of water I don’t blame you I have a 600 gallon acrylic freshwater tank when I set that up I lost a lot of sleep lol so I hear ya broski have confidence in you and your work every thing will be good 👍🏻
I definitely am interested in knowing the cost of everything this tank finna be hugeeee u gunna have to start charging admission lmao bro bro finna have the California aquarium in his house lmao
I love the build and the channel, i just have one question why didn't you build it out from the wall? like a foot or a few inches? being so close its no room for any future problems or emergences. almost like a crawl space sized space is what i am wondering.
Thank you. I appreciate it. As for why I didn’t make it a few inches from the wall. Space…. My garage is only so big and I have to build a 3000 gallon freshwater pond next. I’ll have a 36in walkway once both of these builds are completed. Hopefully I won’t need to access the back of it.
@ Understood it already looks amazing I’m like wow cause you are people build them but some details they don’t go in depth they do the time lapse and show it but that fiber glass and all the selling up the plywood to make it waterproof the ones I’ve seen some of them talk around that . What ever you start building be coming way cleaner then idea . I just remember saying something as the Caddy corner one wouldn’t work and it’s coming down and now you got that one it really looks good
I don’t think you needed to overlap the seams with the 2x4 structure. The product you’re using should be more than sufficient to be leak proof. Also I would’ve used a fiberglass reinforced body filler to mix up and fill the seams in the plywood and screw holes. It’s 2 part so it will be guaranteed to dry unlike that wood filler. I also would’ve used a ton of liquid nails to laminate those plywood sheets to the structure.
Probably didn’t need it but it’s just a piece of mind. I’m learning on the job, the next plywood build may be entirely different. But the goal for me is to not have this one fail. I appreciate all the advice you provided.
Ready for part 5 😂
😂

You don't realize the actual size in the video until you put that full sheet of plywood in it.
Facts! I was thinking the same thing! I can’t wait until it’s done!

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it. And sounds good, I’ll be looking forward to my cut on the merch!! 😂
Looking good Cleveland one thing I would suggest doing after you’re done fibreglass is to use pondshield then it’s not going to leak at all
Thanks. That’s the plan.
Would love to see this as a coral reef set up 😊🤞
It’s going to be for my saltwater predators. No reef here.

When you commit to the animals we buy, it’s necessary to provide them with the proper care to thrive.
@@TheFishCorner I agree completely wish we had the money at the moment to build a kick ass tank like yours but all will come in the future

So it’s no longer catty corner
Nope. The idea of it was better than the execution. This will be more functional for my fish. Larger footprint.

Do you caulk it all
No. Fiberglass and pond shield.
