Your videos are fantastic! You are doing a wonderful service towards the dissemination of the Hebrew language! Anyone around the world who cannot financially afford a Hebrew course can learn so much from your videos and from the way you explain things! Thank you so much for what you do!
Hi Yaara! I am currently in Israel visiting! It is so beautiful and the food is amazing! (Meuleh) I LOVE your country so much, and to make it even better my boyfriend was born to life here. ;-) Thank you for all of your help. Everyone is so surprised by my Hebrew and I tell them my friend Yaara on RUclips taught me....hahahaha! =^D
My fierst few months in learning hebrow and i dont know why iam doing it !! So i think its amazing historical language . Ok ill do it . And i well learn it really .
I love Israel and am hoping to make Aliyah! I love these videos; Yaara is really funny and makes learning Hebrew more fun. I went to Israel two years ago and I loved it; it's such an amazing place! The hummus was really the best 👌. I've never had hummus like that! Forget the falafel, it's all about the hummus! I could literally eat Israeli hummus by the spoonful!
love it!! thanks to these videos I leaned to say the basics in Hebrew and my boyfriend is giving me now six months if study at Hebrewpod101.com because he's happy with the results. can't wait to start formally!! yeiiiii. yes, I've been to Israel, people are warm and nice, like in my country, and the food... it's awesome food
hi yarra, erev tov, ani Dinesh, ani medaber ivrit, ani yacol likhtov ivrit, kol yom ani practice be boker, but now ani lamode ivrit from you. toda raba.
I learned so much listing to you. Do you have a email? I live in Florida and do security at a Chabad. I've been so enlightened with everyone there. So happy when I see the children.
My favourite israeli food is honey on letters of Torah and then after studying it those wafer tubes with sort o murshmellow cream (very distant describe). When i let you eat such and youll stand , tasting you will fall sitting on sofa, they so amazing!
No, I haven't been to Israel! But I so wish to!! My favorite Israeli food is Passover food!! (Even though I haven't tried orther Israel food yet! Besides the Passover I had was in church, and not in Israel! So to tell you the truth... I'm not really sure!! )
Yaara--you are like a best friend. Not only do you have bite-sized portions for us in intriguing and useful subjects-- you paused to share two favorite films!!תודה But may I say one thing I hate? All those unnecessary and very distracting cartoony pop ups, when we're trying to read the swiftly vanishing Hebrew. No one needs that interference. Just give us pure Yaara, please.
Hii Yara :) Thanks for the new vid, love it! I have one question though, on the "מה אמרת/מה אמרתה" section: how come it's e.g. "אני מבין" for male speakers, without "ה" as a suffix, and "אני מבינה", with the extra "ה" for female speakers, and with the word you taught it's the other way round? Hope I was clear with my question, thanks already for answering and greetings from Germany :))
I didn't quite catch your question but I will try my best: First of all, know that מה אמרת is written like this to both genders. ה can be generally be found as a suffix to turn male verbs to female ones.
Hi Padma Chosgyail, Thanks for posting! Yes, this is accurate (even though you'd write in English "What do you want?", the word-per-word is indeed "what you want?"). Happy to help :) Yours, Roi Team HebrewPod101.com
Hi Luis Cervantes García de los Salmones, Thanks for posting! If we would use the phrase as you wrote it, ( ?... כלום? מה אמרת ) it would mean literally: "nothing? what did you say?" It can be used in a conversation in the right context, I assume. :) Yours, Roi Team HebrewPod101.com
How about lessons using only hebrew so we can learn to think in hebrew and not translate back to English. This would be equivalent to an ulpan. Todah rabah beeshveel kol

How do you say " can I ask you a question?"
Hello Darthy Dan!
To say "Can I ask you a question?" you should say:
אפשר לשאול שאלה? efshar lish'ol she'ela?
Cheers!

How sweet she is :)
