    Valerio, why are systems clearly divided into symbol and audio? Why can’t we create a skeleton of a composition in the form of symbolic, and then use this workpiece with audio generative systems as template?

      There are hybrid approaches. But they are very few.
      If I understand correctly, what you suggest is a two-component system. One symbolic, that creates the skeleton. The other audio-based that renders it. It's interesting.
      The typical approach is some kind of production-based rendering of symbolic scores. For example, passing a MIDI score through a VST plugin.

    Music mapping is the key! I always think I like to have mod(7), which represents CDEFGAB, then let performer to decide the natural, flat or sharp? Do you think this is a good mapping to some cellular automata numbers?
