Thank you so much, these are some of the most fascinating videos ive ever seen and im excited to learn more as deeply as possible as i begin this journey.
Valerio, why are systems clearly divided into symbol and audio? Why can’t we create a skeleton of a composition in the form of symbolic, and then use this workpiece with audio generative systems as template?
There are hybrid approaches. But they are very few. If I understand correctly, what you suggest is a two-component system. One symbolic, that creates the skeleton. The other audio-based that renders it. It's interesting. The typical approach is some kind of production-based rendering of symbolic scores. For example, passing a MIDI score through a VST plugin.
Music mapping is the key! I always think I like to have mod(7), which represents CDEFGAB, then let performer to decide the natural, flat or sharp? Do you think this is a good mapping to some cellular automata numbers?

Excellent video! Really enjoying these lectures.
Thanks!
I liked CAMUS' music... It's perfect for a terror movie.. 😂

Could you please elaborate a bit on the mapping? Not sure I got the full picture...
