I love playing Yugioh and a pretty decent amount of cards across 6+trade binders. However..... You have to play power crept/Rogue decks to see that interactive back and forth Yugioh has. Top decks either blow you out first turn 20 minute combos or lock you out of play with floodgates. All this video did was make me want to shelve Yugioh and play Pokemon instead. Cheaper, easier to play/understand, sealed product design favors players, and less reading. All i give up is interaction with the other player? Thats not even a con because i am getting tired of handtraps lol
The reason you like Yu-Gi-Oh more is the exact same reason I like Pokemon more lol. Yu-Gi-Oh was the only TCG I had ever played for years (playing since Edison era) I've seen the game grow and change to become what it is now. That alone led me to try Pokemon. But once I learned the game and started playing, the fact that I am free to play my cards and the game on my turn uninterrupted was such a refreshing feeling. I no longer had to worry about playing too many cards and getting Niberu'd, I no longer had to worry about getting Ash Blossom's or Effect Veiler'd out of my plays. I like the Pokemon TCG simply because I actually get to play the game lol
Completely fair! Pokemon is loads of fun, and mapping out your win con multiple turns in advance is probably my favorite part about it. I may like yugioh more nowadays, but that doesn't mean Pokemon isn't a fantastic game!
i like the ideas put forth here, but i think it's important to note that a big part of what separates an average pokemon player from a good one is that good players will vigilantly watch their opponent's turns to figure out what their plan is for the next 2-3 turns; you might lose the interactivity of getting to play parts of the game on your opponent's turn, but nobody who actually wants to win at a cup/challenge/regionals level is ever gonna doom scroll their phone on their opponent's turn when they could instead be collecting information and formulating their next plan
I think when ygo players speak on pokemon they’re incredibly uninformed and insulting. at high level play it is interactive and very tense. If you play on you’r phone through your opponents whole turn against a skilled player it will cost you the game. I think some ygo players want to demean pokemon because they can be jealous at times that we are happy with our healthy meta, cards are affordable, we get great prizes and unlike ygo all the pokemon Tcg videos aren’t us complaining about our game. I say this as someone who loves Yugioh. I just think some players can be incredibly dismissive
No doubt about it, I'm definitely jealous of the good things other card games have over yugioh. That was a huge motivator of the video. That and how when MBT called the world's list Pokemon's runick stun, I agreed with him and was surprised when people disagreed
Most of my friends asked me why I didn't start with Pokemon or One Piece and the reason is quite frankly easy: i dislike bothe Pokemon and One Piece IP. The main reason I play a game is because I'm a fan of that ip in a first place and I while i was a fan of pokemon when I was younger, now i'm indifferent to it.

I share these sentiments
I just like pokemon more because of the price. The game play is very fun but I don’t think it’s better or worse, just different.
MBT trying to little bro the number 1 of the Big 3 TCGs on Twitter is something else 😅

Absolutely right, when I played competivly, that was definitely part of the fun!
Great video❤! Which sleeves do you use to double sleeve your yugioh cards?
I pretty much use Dragon Shield exclusively for all card games I play, but my Branded Extra Deck you see in the video has Mana Moon oversleeves

Absolutely, that's why I originally got into pokemon tcg, so I completely get what you mean
I always knew MBT was a weirdo
MBT’s take was very very bad
