Welcome to Pig Island, a small paradise where these animals are free and run everywhere. They allow themselves to be touched and are very happy if you give them something to eat.
So what is Pig Island’s story? Its original name is Koh Madsum. In the island lives Mr. Kitt with his family, and he runs a small beach bar. One day Mr. Kitt was making a trip to see his family on the mainland in a town called Surat Thani. On his trip, he traveled through a market and he saw four pigs together who looked very scared.
Continuing with our story… There were two big pigs and two small pigs. He later found out that the larger pigs were male and female, and the two smaller pigs were their piglets. They were a family. So he made the decision right there. He bought the pigs that day, loaded them onto his boat and sailed back to Koh Madsum, and decided to keep them alive.
So the original family of 4, are now a happy family of 12 pigs. A total of 3 generations. They spend their time napping in the shade under big coconut trees, cooling off in the ocean and playing with island visitors. Mr. Kitt gave a happy life to those pigs and all their children.
If you are not interested in movie beaches, it is better not to visit Thailand. This country is blessed with the best beaches on this planet and the best of all is that many of them are still virgin. Another benefit of traveling to this country is that everything is cheaper if you come from a Western country, you can enjoy everything to the fullest.
We did some kayaking and the sun just came out. We relaxed in the sea and enjoyed a few moments of total disconnection. We live in a very fast world, we want to send thousands of photos and sometimes we just forget to live in the present completely.
If you come to Thailand, do not hesitate to buy the tourist packages. Everything is very well designed and with all the breaks you need. This way you can discover the most interesting things that only locals know but at the same time you have the time to connect and enjoy. After this island, we went to another small island to snorkel. The views of all the islands are spectacular and after 6 hours, we returned to the island of Koh Samui to eat.
I got to see a little bit of the nightlife in Koh Samui and it's honestly pretty similar to the western one. Without a doubt, you will meet many foreigners like you and with many stories to share.
The clubs are open outdoors because the heat is high even at night. I decided to sleep early since the next day I had a flight to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
This is probably one of the smallest airports I have ever seen, where everything is open. From the metal detector to the boarding gates. I arrived very early without knowing this information and I had to wait a long time. But finally, I got on the plane. If you want to know what Bangkok is like, don't forget to subscribe.
