SEASON 3 UPDATE: Big changes are that Julia lost the safe hopkick OS (was clearly never meant to be there), but gains a plus on hit low in SS4 and a shining wizard with f+3, 1+2 (this is surprisingly tricky to break in the neutral too). Overall her mids are weaker, but she's more rounded and even better at breaking down turtles now. - A few shout outs! First of all Fergus for being my main source of Julia information throughout making this. He's constantly uploading new Julia tech to his Twitter, so if you want to learn more give him a follow here: twitter.com/Fergus_TK Thank you to Staffan Kjellvestad for giving permission to use these stunning shots of the Borneo rainforest: ruclips.net/video/MLLUkaNSP4c/видео.html as well as Réka for her charming cover of Livin’ La Vida Loca on the recorder: ruclips.net/video/qRbaAyJek28/видео.html Also the opening narration is taken from Episode 8 of Planet Earth, so big fist-bump to David Attenborough 😅 This video was the first in a long time where basically all the recording and editing was handled by me personally. It was pretty tough juggling work and making this at the same time, so without a co-editor it's clear I need to make more time for the channel to keep the videos coming. Big announcement soon! Finally, one small error in the combo section. The u/f+3+4 wall combo is meant to hit low and stun them on the ground for ff+3 to hit, similar to Katarina's stomp
No need to apologise for trying to better the quality of your content, an extra few hours will be worth it if it's anywhere near as good as your other videos
Nice video I like it. But you forgot to put b+1+2 because its a launcher and high crushe also at max range its safe.. I appreciate your effort in this video ❤️
As Tekken grows, more and more people will use your channel as a timeless source of information and breakdowns of characters as I doubt next gen Tekken will change much with any character that makes it through. Your work is nothing short of incredible. Thank you for your contribution to this community! Would love to see a Lei breakdown. :D
Not gonna lie when you incorporated metal gear into the mixup throw section and calling it CQC I was fanboying. As a new player this guide helped me out tons thanks man

Decided to pick up a new character after 15+ years of Mishimas and this guide has already helped me a lot in terms of strategy. I see SO MANY guides just give simple BnB moves/combos while demonizing other moves where I feel like this guide does a good job at explaining the benefits of most every angle of Julia's game. As an older guy with not a lot of time to play, I appreciate this video a lot! Thanks!
What a fantastic breakdown! It was a blast watching this live with Salami and Fergus in the chat. Very concise, to the point and included all important aspects of the character.
I love how you silently say "and it is" after explaining the u/f3,4 OS cause it's so unusual coming from you to comment on how a move is way too good, it actually made me chuckle.
Wow, thank you for an in-depth guide with my new main, Julia. Every bit of information you said here is very useful as a Julia user from previous Tekken series. Mastering her again in the newest installment indeed takes a lot of time and practice and this guide helps a lot to lessen that. Hopefully we get additional information from you once the season 4 comes out.
Inspired to check out Julia after EVO Japan and this guide is phenomenal. The details and structure and pace is all perfect. Stellar stuff, great work.
As far as I am concerned, this is a perfect character breakdown video - comprehensive, nicely divided into sections, move input and frame data clearly visible, good editing, awesome music choices and just a really good balance between professionally laying out the information and inserting some humor into it. Great work!
Is probably the biggest underrated character in Tekken, have all requierem in this Tekken, defense, block punish, space control, keep out tools, okizemes situations, Monster 50/50, combos and wall Carry. A Monster
A lucky Chloe or Aliza B video from you would be so useful to me. I’m very new to tekken and haven’t found anyone who makes guides and useful and easy to understand as yours. Keep up all the great work
Just from the very first two to three minutes of gameplay I couldn't help but notice a striking similarity shared in Julia's moveset with Asuka and Xiayou. I don't think anyone was ever expecting Julia to be top tier but she looks fun to play from a defensive punisher perspective.
excellent content as always, been playing this character since she dropped as someone who started with tekken 7 and she has one of the most fun and cheap movesets ever. The only thing that i'm surprised wasn't in was the use of the shotgun 2 followup in order to condition the opponent to respect windroll for mixups. letting the second hit rip and putting that in the opponent's head is sometimes necessary in order to make your shotgun pressure scary.
41:30: If hopkick don't work after FF1, Julia players can use D1+2 for a guaranteed follow up but lesser dmg. 41:47: - 1+2,4,4 can be a great wall combo option to set up war drum as it gives great spacing if they try to tech and some other mix up
I know that you probably will not see it, but i love your videos, i do not really comment on videos but julia is my main for years and that you have made a breakdown of her + script what i strongly support, warms my heart. I can not thank you enough for your time and passion for tekken. Best wishes and hopefully we (I) see many more videos of you.
Awesome video as always TBS & Fergus Just wanted to mention that for the u/f+4,3,1 wall ender: Switch out the f,f+1 with a jab for small characters. If not, let them fall down a little bit before doing f,f+1 into the ender. And for big characters, change your wall combo to f,f+1, jab, d/f+1 into f,f+3, in order to get the best oki. Also the Power Crush wallbounce requires entirely different conversions than the ff+1+2 wallbounce.
quick note about uf3+4 as a wall ender its only guaranteed if you land it as a low wall hit (60%) as you can hold back to avoid the ff3 otherwise! you also don't need a high wallsplat, for example if you carry with f21 f3~1 and you'll get a lower wall splat and doing a uf3+4 instantly will land a low hit! Also after a long range wall bounce you can do b23 1+2, that string also works as a safe wall combo and you can delay the last hit for a low hit and great oki! Great video though! Thanks for taking your time!
@@mikhailmikhailov8781 That can be said for anybody. *Learn the 11 12 frame punish...main launcher...easy combo* That takes 5 minutes with almost any character. We both know Bnb will only get you outta green ranks.

I have no desire to learn her, but I still enjoyed every second of this video. Your quality makes it hard for me to watch tutorials of lesser quality, even for characters that I play with.
I'm curious about your combo section. I've been doing [Launcher] -> [Filler] -> f2,1, 3~1 -> ff1,4 -> WR 2,1 instead, and find it to be the most damaging and longest wall carry combo possible. Landing the WR 2,1 consistently can be pretty difficult, but once you've got the timing it's basically +5 damage over any comparable combo in the open.
If you remember my comment on your early post about how this tutorial was almost done, I said Law always got a good 11f punish option selecting CH launcher interrupt on Julia's uf+4,3,1 in Tag 2. I meant in-between the second and third hits, not in-between the first and second hits. I personally don't think it's practical to try to hit confirm the second hit. The difference in opinion on her uf+4,3 aside, I think you made an excellent, enjoyable, funny, informative video! Keep it up! Big fan! EDIT I often played against a great JC in ttt2, and through those games, I learned the importance of her WS+2,2 and WS+2,2(hold). You didn't talk about WS+2,2 very much, only in passing.
