This guy is excellent. I love his monotonous delivery, cynical attitude, pedantry and informed commentaries. Plus the act is really slick and well edited. To American audiences he is more friendly and laid back which is cool too, but his act seems more interesting and refined here.
Your comment has aged like already expired milk. Hari is an absolute loser with no real sense of humor. He took Apu away from the simpsons by playing a victim for no reason other than attention
I'm glad a lot of people are enjoying this, but as a big fan I think this is one of his weaker performances. I guess he had to cut a lot of his usual polished US-centric material since he's performing for British audiences, so his usual top notch delivery and timing were a bit missing (in my opinion anyway).
He's actually a douchbag calling all Americans racist. No one in New York asks someone where they're from because they aren't white. That's all they'd be doing.
@@manashdb the essence of him is funny, his timing and delivery is good, but he attaches a crowd-pleasing, woke, leftist approach to almost anything he does. He can't even handle a light-hearted, classic, funny stereotype of an Indian cartoon shopkeeper without being offended. (A comedian getting offended, now that's irony). He's an advocate of cancel culture, just because it's something he doesn't find funny. That's why he's a bellend
You can't be born as a Hindu, Hinduism's a religion not a race or ethnicity. You may have been brought up as a Hindu but that doesn't mean you were born that way. Moreover, why assume something like that when he's specifically said otherwise? That's more than offensive, it's just stupidity. There's nothing at all to suggest that he means what you assume he does.
It is offensive to call someone an atheist if they're not an atheist. It's like calling someone a man if they're a woman or, indeed, Muslim when they're Hindu. However, the offensiveness of it is overwhelmed by the sheer stupidity of it and seeing as you thought it was possible to be born a certain religion, clearly that isn't exactly idiosyncratic for you. Moreover, my original comment said was how refreshing it was to see a comedian talking about religion without forcing atheism down people's throats and your attempts to do just that, whilst cute, are not going to be successful. I suggest you stop going out of your way to offend people and keep your bigotry to yourself.
Hari Kondabolu's one of my new favorite comics! He's hilarious and witty as hell, and I love W. Kamau Bell's Totally Biased which he writes for. Everyone who enjoyed this should find it on FX, it's pretty awesome.
I loved that the vocabulary changed even with the "V-ee-tamin water" plug. Supermarket, advertisement... As someone who has to dangle between British and American English - "Best commercial ever!" sounds so much better!
One of my favorite conversations I've had on several occasions: Me: Tell me, what did Jesus call God? Them: I don't know. Me: Then tell me this: What was Jesus's native language? Them: Aramaic. Me: So what's the word for God in Aramaic? Them: I don't know. Me: It's "Allah".

He’s an Indian from the USMC. (Which is America by the way, stands for United States Marine Country. As in the heart of every American is a Marine waiting to come out.)

At the same time, nobody walked up to this guy and said I don't agree with you about that joke, I Think Jesus was white.
He should have said 'If you do not understand a basic grammar joke, we have nothing in comma' xD

If you don't understand a basic grammar joke, then I have nothing to say to you...that you will understand haha

@David Sanchez oh, to have a sense of humor
6:20 That is one of the most hilariously twisted jokes I've ever heard. Amazing.

"The first clue... is that they're two different words"
Honestly, this guy’s matter of fact tone of voice is the most soothing thing god damn 😂
so funny and so smart. i love this guy.
This guy is hilarious I think the bbc should bring comics like Hari back and use him in more comedy shows
The big thing atm is women comics.... Comics like harri will come back around
"I thought that was really clever. He did not" - best line
I guess it's good to be enjoying jokes and commenting on them years later? :)
Love him. He’s brilliant! Unique comedian because he’s too smart for America.

I am a Muslim and this guy made Muslim jokes and none of them were even slightly offensive. What a beautiful way to say all that. 👍
Irony is drawing trees on paper.
In the twelve seconds with Russell, he blinked 20 times.
The first rule of comedy is to talk about what you know... That is what this guy knows and he is funny, I fail to see the issue.

"Jesus? No? Well then how about Jesus?"
Dying
This was perfection.
Wow other people are so stupid, especially guys who don't agree with Hari. It is a good think he can educate them and be funny at the same time.

Funny how he goes on about how much he likes cocoa butter then immediately hates on white chocolate.
he never uses the same joke twice like most comedians
How Are You Invalid? That Made Perfect Sense To Me
Hey, that's the Apu guy!
Funny thing about white chocolate, it's not actually chocolate. Also, that joke about Jesus looking like a Swedish tennis player was epic :)
