Sofirn went on to fix the ring issue in later versions of the SP36 pro.

Good comparison!.. pity that MANY flashlight manufacturer just use what's available, and not bother do another R&D in conjunction with new variables.
Those artifacts occurs because they use the reflector format first developed for the xp-l's 3535 emitter with the newer sst40 5050 footprint.
I'm still juggling the option between the 4000k vs the 5000k LH351d..
    Thank you, Cheers🔦

Always look forward to your videos! I'm with ya, high CRI and good beam profile are always my priorities to reduce strain. My $100 Fenix (horribly green SFT70) collects dust because I keep grabbing my "cheap" lights lol. Even so, the SST/SFT40 never fails to impress... even in cool white configs it really isn't that harsh.
Best overall HAS to go to the Nichia 519a these days though... it's the total package. Excellent tint, ~95-98 CRI, & great efficiency. Still mourning the loss of my 519a Skilhunt's M150 lol. Lost it on a camping trip.

And not to forget, the blf can hold on to 1800-2000 lumens until the battery is empty, just need to change the temperature Regulation settings to a bit higher value.
Dont know if this is possible with the pro version, both have got anduril 2 but i am pretty sure the pro gets to hot to hold such high levels of output.

Nice comparison video. I changed the LEDs in my SP36 BLF to XP-L HI, i found the LH351D a bit green

Some experienced that lh351d 5000k have more 'green' compare to the lh351d 4000k

      @@relayerrelayer8226 my LH351D was 4000k and had a slight green/yellow tint. I have a Wurkkos WK30 with 5000k LH351D thats nice.

I demand perfection! Ok but seriously that's a tough one as they both have positives and negatives so I will never be satisfied with only one is my answer or another way of saying it, no idea, can't decide. Call it a draw.

Well I split the difference and have just ordered the 5000k Pro. Very cheap at the moment on the Sofirn web site and shipped from Germany so not long to wait. I had been ordering another SP33 V3 but changed to the SP36 Pro, also with batteries, as it was only £10 more so a bit of a no brainer and I like that they had the 5000k version in stock. Hope it has a clean-ish beam profile. I did see a review with a 5000k Pro model from years ago and it looked quite good and apparently it has been updated and improved since?

I just purchased 36pro of Amazon, not BLF version for biking mostly.. TO BAD 8000 lumens is not done with BLF lens.. I am not fan of those rings... :(

Not a warm light fan at all I prefer the cool white light anyday. If I want to see better colour I would go walking in the daylight. White light normally gives you better range.
