I have a blueberry tree that is about one year old from a big nursery store. They produce fruit, but all of a sudden in late May/early June all the fruit, just shriveled up! Same goes for my cranberries and raspberries and peaches. I didn’t use any amenities. I can’t explain what caused the snafu! The leaves look fairly healthy it’s just all the fruit shriveled up. I added some alfalfa seed meal. Waited a week. And then added some lime and calcium. The leaves look fantastic! But none of it is you yielding any fruit. What say you?

Hey Berni, Blueberry Bushes are self-fertile, meaning you only need one to get berries. However, it is suggested to get bigger and more berries to have more than one plant. If you're not getting berries, its almost always pH, nutrition, or moisture.

Question - I have a row of (relocated) 12 bushes that last year I had dug up, as they were too close to an arborvitae row that was invading and suffocating their roots. This winter, I trimmed out dead wood and most have a few taller shoots that are older with some buds, but none that are super healthy. And, most do not have any younger shoots.. Do you think I should trim ALL of them down to the ground with the hopes of reinvigorating the whole plant, or leave a couple old ones?
