Very great. The growls fit perfectly. Though I understand that people who don't usually listen to death metal might not like it. I'd probably not like a techno version of this song, even if it was really good and well done. Still no reason to be a dick about it. Peace
The screams are fine on the verses but they needed to get someone to sing clean on the chorus or at the very least layer some more screams under it to make it sound bigger. The chorus doesn't hit with the epicness it should.
Father Of The Wolf ! Marduk - bleached bones . Are really GREAT EPIC band and Song this ;;; What do you think about Stratovarius ? T.kotipelto vocals are to so beauty in lives like studio performing?
Mustafa Şatıroğlu When i first heard Unforgiven I immediately tried to learn the acoustic part and the electric part in one night. Stood up all night and learned both parts, went to school anyways afterwards. God damn I hated high school hahshs
Fair enough. I had taken your comment to mean it was better than the original, which pissed me off beyond belief. Whether I like it or not, I think NO cover is better than the band/artist that actually wrote it. And yes, I like melodic death metal as well, but I don't feel it translates well with this song. I'd like to hear My Dying Bride or a 'Silent Enigma' era Anathema take a stab at it, though...
I think the voice is better too, not only the instrumentals. Why? Because they both are so more deep. It reminds me of that Death Doom Metal band, Wine From Tears. I like it more than the original. The original isn't as emotional as this.
This singing technique has the purpose of expressing rage or sadness, depending on the song. Here, it expresses sadness, so yeah, it is emotional. And I don't see anything bad in the music, sincerely. I'm not saying that it's better, I'm saying that I like it more. Nothing is better than anything, you can like it or not. But you can't say a song is objectively bad, or good. It seems you just don't like Melodic Death Metal. Don't misunderstand me anyway, I didn't want to insult Metallica.
I think Sodom, for example, isn't a comercial band for cover metallica songs.. And what I wanted to say with "people who says BA sucks.. listen "A Tribute to Metallica's Black Album" is that BA is a great album, a really nice work. Otherwise these bands wouldn't do covers, I think. And about Korn And Slipknot, they never were a legend, they're not a legend, and never could be legend, so they're only shit.
***** i guess you really don't wanna know what i think about lars' drumming, huh? seriously though, Derfel, you should probably lighten up. it's okay that i'm not a big metallica fan. james and the boys have done quite well without my support. you love the band and that's great. i don't. that really shouldn't prompt you to call into question "freedom of speech" or heap insults upon me. you gotta know that not everyone has the same taste in music, right?
***** that said, i know i've kinda gone a little over-the-top in defending some of my favorite bands from unfavorable comments. you should hear me rant after a few beers about anyone that says anything bad about overkill or dio.
The best cover on that CD. All the other bands stayed too true to the originals (and the guys who did Wherever I May Roam just raped it). But this is really nice! They turned the original with all its Spanish guitar stuff into an epic melodeath song. Totally different vibe. And it works.
New blood joins this earth And quickly he's subdued Through constant pain disgrace The young boy learns their rules With time the child draws in This whipping boy done wrong Deprived of all his thoughts The young man struggles on and on he's known A vow unto his own That never from this day His will they'll take away What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven They dedicate their lives To running all of his He tries to please them all This bitter man he is Throughout his life the same He's battled constantly This fight he cannot win A tired man they see no longer cares The old man then prepares To die regretfully That old man here is me What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labeled me I labeled you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven You labeled me I labeled you So I dub thee unforgiven Never free Never me So I dub thee unforgiven
I really love the rough voice for the chorus but for the rest of the lyrics I wish it was a bit softer, however this is the best cover I've ever seen wow.
Seriously?? This doesn't have a fraction of the emotional impact the original has. James actually SINGS on the original. As for the music itself....Please. You obviously dig it more, but don't fucking say any part of this is 'better' than the original.
The part I love from this cover is that the band didn't go crazy and started playing a million mph and the clear voice part in the last part: superb! Love it!
Even if I appreciate this kind of singing, James Hetfield has a beautiful vocal timbre and I can't immagine a better version of this song without his voice.
My question is.. those bands are comercial bands for made a cover of Metallica's most comercial album? I Think not. People who says BA sucks... listen "A Tribute to Metallica's Black Album" Sorry for bad english :/
The instrumentals on this are great. However, in my opinion, I think the vocals should have been way more melodic than this brutal scream. I'm not saying this sucks, but I'm still waiting for a better cover.
hahaha thanks! but I never had english lessons and don't have money to pay it :( but however everyday you learn something new in our life, so keep learning :D
VOCALS ARE SO GOOD!!!
Dont blame these guys......Its typical Death Metal Sytle with a typical Death Metal voice....Great Cover.
I don't like death metal but this versión Is damn good.
Very great. The growls fit perfectly. Though I understand that people who don't usually listen to death metal might not like it. I'd probably not like a techno version of this song, even if it was really good and well done. Still no reason to be a dick about it. Peace
Frankyavalone That's part of it, but I can't imagine any of the metalheads I know who are into DM or BM would say these vocals are good.
@@hmpz36911 What're you talking about? These are great DM growls and Dark Age is melo-death metal if that matters to you.
@@USisTHEbest121 Nothing else matters. Haha
Oh my god this is so good..
It’s so dark and heavy, but it also just has all that Metallica charm in it dude..
yeeahhh OMG... this is amazing cover. i love it
please upload Instrumental Version for this great song
That would rule
Dark Age it is another great band! I like so much their songs!
4:15 does fit the song :)
One of the better metallica covers out there. Fix the growling and I'd prefer this to the original
this is the best cover of the song
Vocals are good, wtf guys?
The screams are fine on the verses but they needed to get someone to sing clean on the chorus or at the very least layer some more screams under it to make it sound bigger. The chorus doesn't hit with the epicness it should.
divine sound
this cover would be a good song for a downer beginning of a sequel movie and an old man standing over several graves of his fallen platoon.
Well, that's right, I also think the original song can't be exceeded by a cover. However, everyone has his own tastes.
I heard this as a detox from the cover by Vishal Dadlani, Divine and Shor Police.
best song ive ever heard
This sounds better then the original, awesome...
The vocals sound like Johann Hegg from Amon Amarth lml
Father Of The Wolf ! Marduk - bleached bones . Are really GREAT EPIC band and Song this ;;; What do you think about Stratovarius ? T.kotipelto vocals are to so beauty in lives like studio performing?
Great Melodeath Cover!
Greatness!
Holy fuck! yes yes yes
intro is awesome
love it
I don't think this is Dark Age, but it is awesome!
Pure music
*Epic \m/ Greetings*
I don't like black metal and that vocals too, but insturmentally made me feel like first time i listened to The Unforgiven.
Mustafa Şatıroğlu
When i first heard Unforgiven I immediately tried to learn the acoustic part and the electric part in one night.
Stood up all night and learned both parts, went to school anyways afterwards. God damn I hated high school hahshs
What album is this from? I can't find it anywhere!
Awesome; this song was made for this ambient... ;)
I actually dig this alot

Vocals are not my tipe but the instrumental is amazing
This song is the shit
I actually like the voice - it just doesn't fit this song.
But imagine this voice on "Struggle Within"... That'd be nice!
Sorry for ruining the 666th like but I had to like it. ;)
Sounds like kratos From god of war is singing this song
Loll, the original is my favourite song, and the orchestration and tones on this are really cool but fuck these vocals wreck it for me.
I wanted to click on Like, but there was already 666 Likes...
Music sounds good, but I don't like the growling - it doesn't suit the song imo.
I agree with you there bud.
At least its good growl, not emo fuck shit that cunts like called growl
It's fine on the verses but it's really inappropriate on the chorus.
@@RobotCo-Op Yeah was kind hoping he was gonna let off a bit for the chorus
Vocal is a dump, but the instrumental part is better than the original
Ok no, this is a meaningful sad toned song, it should have growls... So this is baaaaad
wtf
It sounds like he's vomiting and singing the same time lol
😅😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
..music is ok but the voice is got to go!
به معنای واقعی کلمه ریدین تو آهنگ یارو
You completely screwed up on his music
Wow! Just... just awful.
rockboundman it's a death metal band. You wouldn't expect to sound like James Hetfield
awful...
nice cover. reminds me of what a terrible vocalist james hetfield is.

Thanks Gabbie not bad at all cheers for now Alice xx

best unforgiven cover imo
One of the best covers !
reminds me of Dark Tranquillity....
New blood joins this earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pain disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
They dedicate their lives
To running all of his
He tries to please them all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I labeled you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
You labeled me
I labeled you
So I dub thee unforgiven
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee unforgiven
Or
RAAAH RAHHH WHAT IVE RAHHHH
Amazing!
This is waaaaaay better than I expected
I really love the rough voice for the chorus but for the rest of the lyrics I wish it was a bit softer, however this is the best cover I've ever seen wow.
I'm not a big fan of Death and Black Metal, but this is really good!
4:30 that voice shivered me

you have nice english . you are in need to assist more english lessons, and quite fooling around in youtube writing whatever :D
Great song, i want ear in black metal voice but in the gutural is great to
Instrumental, anyone?
Even if I appreciate this kind of singing, James Hetfield has a beautiful vocal timbre and I can't immagine a better version of this song without his voice.
EPIC Heavy METAL Intro !!!
awesome just awesome !! :)
If you think the albums before this album were the only good albums then you just aren't a true Metallica fan
awesome cover!..
You changed so many things in the best possible way, sounds incredible. but what about the drums? 4/5 stars because of the drums.
Brutal greeting from 🇪🇨
~When I heard the music start I was really hoping the singing would be good. What they did musically I really like.
My question is.. those bands are comercial bands for made a cover of Metallica's most comercial album? I Think not. People who says BA sucks... listen "A Tribute to Metallica's Black Album"
Sorry for bad english :/

this version is simply beautiful.they captured the feeling of the original song,on a different level just perfectly.fuckin' bravo!
Woww! Metal heavy version ! But I dont like brutal vocals
Can Anyone tell me the Guitar Tuning the play ?
D Standard Tuning
I enjoyed it. Although they could ease out on the chorus, it was heavy overall. It's fine though
"corey fucking god"
Ahahaha, classic guitar hero poser kid.
It'd be cool if he did clean vocals on the chorus haha!
Nice cover!! Pretty decent!!
Oh yeah it is! Bitchin' account pic, too. \m/
Looks like a Folk Metal version of the song!
Wow ..so epicness intro sound !!
Do you have an instrumental version of this?
I love it
OMFG! This gave me goosebumps! Definitely nice cover lml
Unforgiven evolved
Great Cover !!!
holy fuck, absolutely sick
Any instrumental version? Thanks!
argghhh excelente!!
intro is amazing
Que buena...✨
The vocals are not good for this kind of piece, but it's not bad overall.
