For someone who has done botox to their platysmal bands but does lifting workouts in the gym, will the effects of botox be negated or wear off faster? As I believe doing lifting work eg dumb bells etc, does involve the neck muscles. I have never done botox to my neck before but am curious. :)

I don’t know for sure as to my knowledge there have been no studies that show that working out can wear off your Botox faster but it’s likely that if you are using the platysmal muscles when you work out it can cause the Botox to wear off faster, if you get your platysmal bands treated with Botox.

I jest got mines done she lonely but she sed 96 units only on my Forehead in between my eyes and the side of my eyes she told me she couldn’t put Botox on my Apple lap and next to my nose both size that I need to a fella She wouldn’t explain to me by phone but I think 96 unit was too much for what she did what do you think

I usually place my finger by the eyes and leave it there while I inject and I let the patient know that the needles is behind my finger. So my finger is closer to their eyes than the needle which usually helps them feel more comfortable.

Interesting because I have NEVER injected my lips with filler before they are 💯 natural. It’s a shame when ppl don’t know how to differentiate between naturally full Lips versus Unnatural ridiculous looking lips. is it normal for an injector to say they have to do the entire forehead in order to do the 11s and brow lift? that’s what i did with my injector, but i don’t think it was totally necessary, and i feel like i probably could have gotten more upward lift without doing the entire forehead too. she acted like it was filler.. saying “we just have to this to build up for this”… sure, that makes sense for filler, but it doesn’t make sense at all for botox right?
You don’t have to treat the forehead or frontalis in order to treat the 11’s or glabella area. Some injectors do think that it will look weird to not treat both areas because it will look odd if one area is relaxed and not the other. I actually spoke about where to treat in order to get a brow lift vs to relax your brows and yes you can get more of a lift by avoiding treatment to the forehead. I have gotten 39 units in my forehead and it tends to wear off with in two months. It used to work good and less treatment now i need more and it doesn’t last.
Hi, if i treat just one eye and the procerus for asymmetry will this affect the muscles on the untreated eye? as in will they become stronger over time to compensate in any way and droop or would it be fine to just treat one eye, thanks
Everyone is different so there is no way I will be able to tell you. I’m sure it’s also dependent on how many units you get too. You can always treat the other side if so

It depends -as everyone’s muscle strength varies. Sometimes if the muscle is not that strong I start with 10 units on each side and have the client come back - and add more units if needed. However some people have benefited from 40 units on each side if they are very strong.

"Crows feet" treatment seems scary. You're having a needle that close to your eye. 😖
I usually place my finger by the eyes and leave it there while I inject and I let the patient know that the needles is behind my finger. So my finger is closer to their eyes than the needle which usually helps them feel more comfortable.

When i get botox the doctor uses the entire jar of botox. My results last about a year.

My injector only gave me 5 units three in my glabella area and one near each eyebrow. It’s what she recommended….
I’ve never heard of that little amount being used to this area.

20 units per area. Sufficient for a person starting out with Botox. If it doesn’t suffice in 2 weeks? Come back for a evaluation.
